HmmI would like an option to pause the rested xp bonus we accumulate. As for now I only want to use my bonus xp for leveling my bard. If I am waiting in duty finder I usually like to level up my crafting or gathering but since they are such low level they eat right through the bonus rested xp in minutes leaving me with no bonus xp for my Bard.
There should be a way to choose which job/profession you want to use your bonus xp on.
An option would be not to change the class while you wait and instead grind some exp with your bard while you wait ^^
This. Or you can farm mats for your crafting classes. I took a page out of the botter's book. Went to an area with mob levels trivial to mine as an Archer and spammed tab and Venom. I was collecting a ridiculous amount of HQ mats along with normal mats.
What I really wonder, how do you change into a crafter while still in dutyfinder?
I just gather mats, like above poster said. Gives 0 exp, but lots of mats which you can use later.
Just switch weapons to change into a crafter or gatherer. It doesn't take you out of the queue. Just make sure to switch back to your main when the queue pops.
Yes this is very true and it seems many don't know you can do this.
Want to make Class/Job changes faster? set a Hotbar or Crossbar to be shared, which if you don't know shared bar don't change when changing to a different class/job, then set your gear sets onto this bar letting you quick change classes making your duty finder wait time productive in some way with a quick click or a few button presses back to your duty class.
Yea i set this up the other day and it helps a TON! Hopefully your tip will help others out. Happy adventuring fellow Balmungian!Yes this is very true and it seems many don't know you can do this.

You can change to any class you want after entering duty finder. Once you do, you can open the DF window and it will show that you queued as your original class, but are playing as your new class.
Grinding solo is too slow for xp imo, especially since you can't use your chocobo. I would rather use the time waiting in duty finder to grind a DOL/DOH job. After the duty is complete it would be sweet to hop back on my main with all my rested xp still there. I'm not complaining though, I love how you can max out all classes and professions on a single toon. I just wish we had the option to choose which class we use our rested xp on.
