How much Determination is 1 Mind

I was wondering how many Determination you need to make up for 1 Mind in healing.

I'm sure some people have run tests already and figured out the formula for both stats but I can't find it.

The problem is that I want to start gearing for Endgame, but I'm unsure if losing 9 Determination to gain 5 Mind for example is a) a good trade, b) pretty much equal or c) a bad trade.

1 Mind=0.49 hp cured. 6 Determination= just above that at 0.51 according the calculator.

Determination is worse than I thought then. But neither stat is really phantastic.

You may see Determination as a "bad" stat because you are only comparing it to Mind, but the reality is it increases more than just healing. Determination increases healing as well as all damage (weapon skills, spells, and auto attack). One stat to increase all those things is not too shabby.

But, if your going to focus on healing then it's pretty bad lol.

Then maybe you should start casting some DoT's.

If you're doing damage you're hitting cleric stance first anyway in which case the mnd = int.

If anything, considering how Mind is more or less "capped" regarding Materia melding on any gear a self-respecting healer would use, Determination is the only real way to go if you want more efficient heals. And besides, when thinking of Determination, you should compare it to Spell Speed or Crit, not Mind.

As far as i'm aware Determination does not equal you (healer) healing better, but affects how well your heals hit the other player, IE tanks with more determination will be healed better. For example, take 2 almost identical Paladins, the only difference is one has 200 determination and the other only has 100. My heal will affect the one with 200 better and heal for more then the one with only 100 determination. It of course adds much more then just healing, but that is how it affects heals
