Maintank WAR here and tanked everything including BCoB without any issuses.

Lol i main warrior that's all i do and I've been end gaming for a while now and i have had 0 problems at any point, sure id like a buff, maybe if your looking for sustain improvement just double the hp returned from life stealing moves and keep damage the same but really I'm not fussed, i hold hate and survive just fine, if you don't your doing it wrong.
I don't get the WAR sucks for titan trend atm. As laid out here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...r-a-worse-tank Titan is a fixed rotation fight and you can heal yourself MUCH more than he can ever hurt you in one hit.
Bloodbath would be nice if it healed more sure. Foresight isn't that cool and Storms Eye is pretty useless (should be 100% healing but it does stack with bloodbath).

I think the problem has nothing to do with mechanics, but perception.
Paladin has less HP, but takes less per hit.
Warrior has more HP, but takes more per hit, but also takes a flat 15% (infuriated) more healing.
I'm not seeing the problem.
Warrior survives large blow by virtue of HP pool, hits Inner Beast for some quick self heals and then is healed back to max by the Healer.
Paladin survives large hit by virtue of increased defenses (probably a cool-down like Rampart) and is subsequently healed back to max.
Now, If the Paladin is making the attack take off say 1/4th of its HP due to naturally higher Defensive skills, and the Warrior takes 3/4ths of his HP on the same attack in the same quality gear, thats an issue.
But until i see some video evidence of such an occurrence, that being an equally geared Paladin and Warrior taking the exact same blow without either using a cool-down, i will continue to put the Warrior whine down to unskilled play by both Healer and Tank.
I've found, that once you're well enough geared to not be too squishy, Warrior is the prefered tank, because of the damage output.
I tanked AK without defiance, with a group from my LS - we cleared it in 30ish minutes.

Hmm that's news to me.
In every run when we had two Tanks they always preferred me as the PLD to tank and not the WAR. Everytime.
I've also done AK as a PLD with 25 min runs or less which is close to your WAR's clear time.
Meh, got me. Might just be down to personal preference.
Still liked the feel of WAR from 1.0 better tho.
An easy fix would be to make it so the HP healed by Warrior generates a shield for that amount of HP.
In my experience I've seen really bad warriors but a good warrior could tank the shit out of a pally.
I've been able to heal my warrior friend just fine. Honestly, he's better than most of the Paladin's I've run into. xD
