I'm not sure you have any ground to stand on yourself. Your generalizations are actually far more offensive than anything he wrote. While he may be guilty of poor grammar, you are far closer to those "terrible Americans" than he is.
Because the moment you substantiate your claim, it no longer is advice based on opinion, it becomes a research paper which if you live your life only choosing to give your opinion to people only when you have research and citations backing up your opinion than that is your choice and you probably are pretty boring person at parties lol.
This is understandable I suppose, but in the sense of an opinion which is trying to bring to light some cultural differences which seem to be obvious to me in this game, it would be impossible to interview every american and every japanese player in this game. Thus, all I can do is talk about my opinion based on my personal experiences in this game and any other game and people who i talk to in forums and in game etc...These ofcourse do not truly qualify as citation because in the end all of that information would still be from my perspective correct? If this is true then from the very beginning you asking for citation or facts is ridiculous because it's impossible. Do you understand what I mean here? You have a great grasp of English grammar and composition of ideas and sentences but it seems like you keep bullrushing everything I say without actually thinking about what you yourself are asking for.An opinion can be (and in certain contexts, should be) backed my evidence. There are multiple ways to interpret and understand the information that is given to you. Opinions about what you like or prefer mean nothing and can be formed however you want them to be. If you're talking about large groups of people and attributing certain traits and attitudes to them, you better be sure you know what you're talking about if you don't want to look like a fool/offend other people. Even more so if you're giving advice.

I'm positive there's nothing stopping someone from leveling through the story from 1-50 entirely solo. It would probably be a very boring experience not being around people for the social aspect of things, but it's entirely possible. There you go right there Sushi, look at the dungeons you quoted, they are end game areas, and you are talking about farming end game content, in other words you failed to mention how the actual game through the entire storyline 1-50 urges people to form relationships and bonds to succeed through the game...
Endgame is a different story. Ifrit and Garuda are fairly easy, but Dhorme Chimera, Hydra, HM Titan and Binding Coil require you to retract out of your shell and meet some people on your local server if you plan on tackling that content.
lol did you even read what i posted?
i treat everyone with kindness and even go out of my way to help others even though i DONT BENEFIT FROM IT.
btw im not treating you like dirt, im just being direct and honest and if you cant handle that, that you are gonna have a tough time in life
and yeah my grammar is terrible![]()

I apologize for generalizing all NA players (me being one of them) as mostly mean spirited/selfish; I have met many nice people for sure but one must admit that per capita there is more of those types here than on say JP servers.
Unless it's Americans, there is just something about those 300 million+ people that just makes for spot-on sweeping generalizations![]()
If we look at the population results posted from the recent live letter... it's almost 50% guys/girls playing in Japan. Versus 60% guys, 40% girls playing in NA/EU.
Many guys playing video games in NA are competitive, aggressive towards others while playing, critical of others, impatient, etc...NOT friendly. Look at the behaviors of people who play CoD, WoW. I would think that has something to do with the unfriendliness of the NA community.
Actually, if you've played the endgame at all, I'd say the Duty Finder encourages static party play, if anything. The kind of people you'll encounter in DF at endgame makes finding a good group/FC to run things with essentially a necessity.
If you had to choose between a million dollars and saving your best friend...what would be the first thing you'd buy?
playing MMOs for over 10 years now, last played at around 2007...
FFXIV is the first MMO where i felt lonely in the field even with dozens of players around.
no need to form parties in the field, no real need to form parties with people from your own server, no need to talk really.
feels like playing a single player rpg with simulated players..
i joined a LS because i just felt so lonely and was getting sick of that empty chatlog.
what's going on with MMOs these days? :/
