Get familiar with topics like polycount, memory management, asynchronous/synchronous network communication, multi-plattform development.

    But...but....but....

That requires them going on actual knowledge instead of saying SE fails.

    WE. CANNOT. ALLOW. THAT.

There's a difference between lack of knowledge and simply not caring. As a player, I don't give a rats behind if this game is supposed to run on Atari, I want it to be great on the console I'm playing it. And if you're gonna use the technical card, the PS3 can't handle it? SE knew this before starting development on this game and I'm sure we all would've been OK with a little less polygon count and a lot more variety...just saying. But of course I anticipate an attempt at a witty remark from you and others like you defending the game the way it is *no matter what*. There's two sides to a coin, something knowledge alone doesn't give you, try common sense.

The PS3 can "handle it", they just have certain design restrictions that everyone else in the industry has to follow. When we developed games for the Famicom we couldn't use 16 or 32 bit graphics. Some tried to push past 8 bit goodness with pseudo 16 bit goodness, but it rarely worked.

No one is "defending the game", you people who dislike this game and company truly need to stop thinking anything that is other than "SE fails!" or "There are no excuses" and "WoW/Rift/Blade&Soul is sex" is defending. You don't care for logical reasons, you're a typical gamer.

    There's nothing wrong with that.

However, the main issue, is memory management, which doesn't necessarily pertain to graphics alone. You can consider Graphical design an innocent bystander when it comes to memory because it indirectly suffers or directly depending on the game's overall design. Why do you think graphically "superior" games always end up lacking in one department or another? Because the development team fails? Because they didn't have a good game design? Nope, because console development is heavily give-take, so while you can do your best to get everything you want, it's almost guaranteed you'll have to give something up due to memory management.

However, I should say "SE fails" every other line, then you wouldn't consider logic to be defending

You need to stop thinking like a developer and think like a gamer. Why the hell do I care that they can't make the game run properly on the PS3 when I dished out $1200 for a new computer to run this game? I don't. Why do I care that in order to fix the problems that arise with a PS3 version they need to optimize the game by reusing a lot of dull texture (that look good but are dull in color nonetheless) and reusing 3D objects (copy and paste everywhere)? I don't. SE new this would be an issue before they finished development on this game, what they should have done then is develop a less graphic intensive game and develop something more suited for the PS3 that will still look great on the PC. You get it now? I don't care about the technicalities and nor should I unless I was working for SE.
