Fastest AK run I ever did was PLD/WHM/WHM/SMN. AK can be done with all kinds of strange setups. Just have to bring people who know how to play the class.

Bards are the class that you have do LB3 when you need to rez everyone without distracting healers from healing

Or just have the healer do it, because it heals everyone to full anyways...? BRD limit break is bad, but there are a million other threads for that discussion.

The only thing impressive about this is the fact that you brought 3 dps AND managed to kill the boss considerably slower than most groups that bring a healer.

I think the fastest way to do it would be 3 BLM 1 WHM. I have 3 manned the first boss without a tank and almost took down the second without one. Only tried that fight once and got it to 5% before a tank appeared.

The inferrence from "you don't need a healer" is "you don't need healing", and that simply isn't the case. You spent a large majority of the fight trying to get out of the red zone with your puny pld heals and the blm/smn spamming shitty physics at you.

"Why bring someone who can heal for 800hp per gcd when we can use 3 people to do the same!"
