Like I said, you cant be targetted. AoE targets the ground. So this is more an AI fault than anything. I also said how to get around it.

Getting around it is fine, but it still should be addressed as a proper fix.
Well, getting around it actually causes another bug to occur, which is the one I reported.
Yeah those red circles appearing directly at your feet - so that you are EXACTLY at its center? Yeah that is called being targeted. That red circle was placed SPECIFICALLY at YOUR feet. It was not placed there randomly and you happen to be in the exact middle of it. Most red damage zones are random - but some are quire obviously targeted directly at you.
Its aiming at you, not targetting you. Yes, there is a difference, though it is very small. If you were able to be targetted, then a healer could select you and use cure (a targetting skill).
Even if you're not being targeted, AoE spells still effect you. I don't know how many times I've run out of the way of those red AoE markers that pop up and I've had players yell at me to move out of the way and even when I do run out of the way, I'm still hit. :/ It's a bug that needs serious fixing, I'd rather not have the effect of the AoE spell if I'm not actually in the area, thanks.
Ya, theres a few things that need messed with connected with all this.
Timing of Red markers to cast times of skills.
Make AI not aim at a person mid-Raise (the one using Raise however, should gain extra Enmity for doing it though, which if next thing isnt also done, could cause one being raised to still get hit)
Make Invuln time last for the entire Raise animation on the one being Raised, including inability to be healed (would fix bug I reported)

No, they aren't. It's the difference between Thaumaterge's Freeze and Flare skills. Freeze can be aimed at an enemy, but does not target. Flare targets an enemy, and hits in an area.
Due to AI, enemies are aiming at people midRaise, which due to odd/buggy game behavior causes them to be hit by the attack.
