Yes, there's actually a huge difference between a projected and promised date. "We're aiming/hoping for mid-September" is nowhere near the same thing as "It will be fully operational on X date" or "It will be ready some time mid-September." We received an initial projection, an estimate, not a promise. The server team needs to assist with making the service possible and as I'm sure you're aware, they've been occupied with upgrading the hardware in order to make things stable.
