Tanks have it rough because most of the time they spent levelling, everyone expected the tank to know the strategy. If anything went wrong, it was the tanks fault.

The problem of tanks thinking they're god stems from the high expectations everyone in the party has of them. If people learnt the strategy despite their class, if the DPS waited a moment for the tank to build hate on that boss, if the healers realised their overhealing made aggro control a nightmare, perhaps the world would be a better place.

I just came out of Titan. We wiped many times and ultimately everyone else just dropped. Two of the times we even survived the heart..... It was sad. It was also a little frustrating to me not because we wiped so many times, but because we had 50 minutes left to keep trying when they quit. Alas. Few have that much willingness to keep going. I don't mind running through the end, even if it is utter failure still. But many just lack the patience.

I love it when I come across a group willing to "waste" 2 hours time on a failure and work together to try anyway.

This drives me nuts, for two reasons:

    1) My dad has logged more hours of gaming than 90% of the people that play games. Guaranteed.
    2) Everyone, at some point, was a "noob".
He should keep at it, because of the points you listed. Just have to keep in mind tanks get more flak than any other role, and it is easier to see when a tank is struggling than any other role for the uninitiated. Double standards and all, people expect others in their party to be darn near perfect, but if call them out on their mistakes they get super defensive. Which is why it often takes a thicker skin to play a tank class consistently.

The ones that claim that are usually only playing a tank to go through content at a faster pace or get a kick out of thinking they are important and powerful. Healers usually have more power than the tanks do, however healers also often have a much different mindset. Most tanks won't get very far if no one heals them, if its ever set up so the tank does not need a healer at all there is a problem with game balance.

That's what I really hate. Sometimes you have enought time to finish a dungeon but people leave. The fun part of it is that after they leave we usually get another player for their role and we complete the dungeon, even in situations where we got to the last boss with just 3 minutes left. As I always say, the run is not over until you're kicked out of the instance.

To be honest, I'm pretty damn tired of the attitude of some folks, specially when a lot of them are not as good as they think they are. But it seems that if you played [insert random game here] before, you're the best of the best and you know way more and play way better than anyone else. Hell, how dare those vile plebeians look at you or even try to play with you! They don't even deserve that you talk with them to explain them anything, as they should already know what to do at level 50 since level 1 and do a flawless job if they want to be able to be in your presence. All those noobs should burn in a fire, right?

I have not seen anyone being mad at me, as I'm the tank and they usually don't have the balls to do so, but I can't help myself to not be a bit angry when I see someone yelling at someone else because they did or didn't do that or that. Be nice to each other, and try to overcome the challenges together, please.
