Repeatable quests exist already, they're called Leves. They exist as Battlecraft, Tradecraft, Fieldcraft and Grand Company depending what you feel like that day. Different zones offer different flavours. I suspect SE wanted to do something slightly different than the standard WoW style. While you can only get so many per day (forget the number), I believe the idea is to mix them in with FATES, dungeons and (if you want) some good 'ol grinding. The EXP boost from having a higher class leveled also helps. A number of sideline quests only appear once you get to a certain level, or spot in the main storyline. You may find some you missed on your second time through some zones.

If you are constantly maxing out Leves every day, while also the doing the others, perhaps you should consider putting the controller down and going outside for a bit and exercising something more than your fingers ... All things in moderation

The fact that it seems you're almost required to grind FATEs to level up classes beyond your first is what's making it difficult for me to want to login and play right now. I got my first class to 50, for my 2nd he's sitting at 43 and a bit and has had to do mostly fates for that, then I have a few other classes in the 9-18 range that would be joining the FATE express for the majority of their playtime. The game is great the first time around but each class beyond that becomes more of a chore. If they hadn't forced so many dungeons/primals into the main story line of the game I would have just rolled new characters altogether.

I just have to comment on hunting logs because in every topic to do with leveling people chime in with how great they are for experience. They are nice for a quick boost at lower levels but they do next to nothing near the top end. Getting 40k for a hunting log is a nice bonus, but when your levels are requiring 400k+ at that point, it's not all that much.

Same. I want to log in, play the game, and have a quest storyline, have interesting things to do to level up my sub-classes, not get on a mount and zerg rush into crowded 50 man laggy FATES and do them over and over and over (I am so sick of Quarrymill, I never want to see that place again jesus christ).

You wouldn't want to waste your allowances on those crappy battlecraft leves when you get some crafter/gatherer classes to take care of. Only 6 points/day, and it's considered rude to join a FATE pt & then start initiating leves, cause it disrupt other pt members while bringing no benefit to them. Doing FATEs solo isn't the best choice either.

And btw... pls stop with the "go outside & exercise", ppl have different lives & different kinds of jobs, they play their games at their own paces.

For those that mention long queue times for dungeons... you know you can find three friends and not queue at all, right? It's not hard to find people to join you. You can shout, you can use the LFP flag. You can join a linkshell. You can actually be part of a community rather than contributing to the community-destroying monster that is DF. A side benefit is that you are guaranteed not to get a tank that just joined to drop pt for 'the lolz'.

personally I'd prefer an old school Exp party, but that's just me.

You don't have to mindlessly zerge Fates none stop. It is really boring after awhile, and to me it isn't even that fast since you have to compete to get reward and with popular area you will get very little or nothing to no reward because it end so fast.

What you do is get a group of Friends together, or join a large FC and just repeat the Dungeon a few time with 3% Foods and Chain the Mob in the Dungeon for some really sweet exp. DPS don't have to be fantastic, but it does help if you have Blackmage and Bard with some decent gears.

You rack up some nice exp and level up in no times, and by the time you done with that Dungeon you get your whole gear set and ready for the next one.

I re-run dungeons with trash gear equipped for trash mobs, Bonus, You get XP and Materia to sell for moneys.

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

Well... You can always do what is required in every other MMO out there. Create a new character!

But clearly that's just not an option.

This game is built around multiple classes per character. If you levelled one character per class you would have 9 characters who each sucked at their jobs. No swiftcast on your ACN? No invigorate on your MNK?

Is this a discussion about maximizing ones character?

The choice is there for those who wish to have fun while leveling multiple jobs.

It kinda sounds greedy when someone wishes to maximize a character while avoiding the grind (which is not implied by OP's original post so I'm not gonna make that assumption here).
