i have a friend with some issues with lag, i'll have them try this, but this seems like a setting the launcher would use to speed up patch downloading; or at least it looks like something I've seen that was more used on the launcher's download than the actual game.
Either way I'll see if this works at all i guess.
I was having some disconnect problems when moving while casting and after running about gridania while casting for a while now seems as though it may have solved it, but only time will tell i guess![]()
Thanks for sharing. But its still not work, the instance still lag as hell.
if UPnP is disabled (or your router never supported it in the first place) then you have to open the ports for the game, otherwise you're relying on how smart or dumb the NAT logic is in the router. Basically UPnP tells the router to open ports automatically. There's some horrible advice out there from several years back about turning UPnP off on routers due to security issues, but it really depends on the router you have.
