not defending per se, just looking at it from a different perspective. you can adjust the muscle tone of both male and female characters, too, isn't that just for role playing, too?

The breast size adjustment was unneeded, but also see the point in it for character customization. Do I think that SE should make both genders equal, yes. Should they make the character models more realistic for male characters, yes.

I play a female character much more because female main characters seem to be more badass than than the typical male hero that overcomes everything. Examples of this are Terra and Celes from FF6; Fang, Lightning and Vanille from FF13; Rydia and Rosa from FF4; Maria from FF2; Tifa from FF7; Rinoa and Selphie from FF8, Garnet from FF9, Kasumi from Dead or Alive, and the list goes on and on.

Females are usually portrayed as the damsel in distress. A female character overcoming any sort of challenge that she might encounter is much more satisfying than the typical guy doing the same thing.

As for the breast size thing, while I still think it is unneeded, it really isn't all that sexist. I think that women could use this as a way to show pride.

Well said, Suetan. I immediately felt like this game is doing something interesting - gender has almost no meaning.

and maybe I'm biased, but even at 100% bust size, they don't seem THAT big to me. the only problems I have with proportions in this game are the weirdly shaped Elzen. IMO. like their heads are too small for their bodies. but whatever, I think overall, SE has done an admirable job making gender a NON issue.

Alas, you can only do this for a couple races.
