Over 100 runs on ifrit now...staff dropped once...the other whm won it over me an it was his first kill too...

I hate ifirit.

If I ever get that weapon, I plan to never go into that fight again.

As a side note, I think there is a .01% chance for staff to drop to ensure healers have to que into these a couple 1000 times so the 99% of players who are DPS can get their weapons on a run or two.

Anyways, saving up for a titan HM carry since it seems only a legacy geared crew can kill it consitantly. PuGs have hard enough time with Ifrit as it is and he's stupid easy lol.

my FC has people in Australia and Europe and we do Titan just fine.

Do you really think I will have better luck with Garuda if I can't get an Ifrit staff to drop? I really doubt it, RNG hates me in all games to the point it has taken me years to get a single item that others do in a run or two in some of them.

If you're trying to kill Titan via DF, it's not gonna happen. Having two tanks is like trying to 7-man that fight. The off tank does no damage, and contributes nothing.

Get a server group going. Get people that know the fight and are well-geared. That's how I got my Titan kill.

so, you are saying SE did NOT take into account the LOWER dmg output that a DF group would have and placed Titan in DF to troll those who use DF?

No, I'm taking into account that they didn't give Titan his own specific queue-composition. If they wanted to make the fight doable via DF, they'd queue for 1 tank, 2 (or 3) healers, and 4 (or 5) DPS. All 8-man groups get the same team composition regardless of what the fight itself requires.

They designed the fight to be solo-tanked, but yet still give you two tanks. They didn't do it to troll, they just got lazy.

i bet if you google HARD enough and not be lazy, you would find ppl who have beat titan hard mode via DF

I'm not doubting that it happens. I'm quite sure it happens every day.

But even you'll agree that the chances of getting a group together that can carry a second tank, are astronomically low via DF. If you want a good chance at success, you won't waste your time with DF. I never said it was impossible, it's just not probable.
