i'm being serious because I also had first hand experience in it. I'm not saying everyone is a pedo. But they do excist and they do play mmo with those features. Cybering is a tool they use to target their victems. They "pretend" to be a friend from school etc. Then start stalking you etc. I wouldn't have said anything if I didn't have first hand experience. Also part of my thrypy was self defences corses on how to get a feel on who a sex offender is. Pretty much pedophiles do have a routine on how to get a target. And have certain tics about them.

Honestly joking about a serious issue isn't funny, it is pretty childish.

Again I have had first hand experience with this stuff and lucky my mom was a GOOD PARENT and kept me safe or I wouldn't be here.

Anyways, while im sure sexual predation is a real issue, that's not the biggest reason not to implement all those stupid things in the OP. The biggest reason is because they are tacky and made of fail.

Actually massachusettes has quit alot of pedophile issues.... including out churches.... I was the victim of 3 different pedo abuse cases at the age of 3. Couldn't go to court because this was back in 1988 and they didn't allow 3 year olds to testify. I do not lie or make jokes on serious issues more so if I had first hand experience

there is harm in cybering actually you do not know who these people really are. And chances are it is a pedophile looking for a target. Watch the news (new york times isn't news it pr fluff) Or read the newspaper. Or go online to read them/watch them kids (mostly young girls) are found dead or turn up missing from meeting these guys (or women) over the internet mostly from nno now, used to be IM chat sites. People fake their id 99% of the time. So to safe cybering is "safe" is a joke. Unless you are 100% certain you know the person 100% i wouldn't deem them safe.

I have studied cybering from an academic context and read multiple studies on the matter. Yes sometimes people do come across nasty incidents with grooming by paedophiles but they are RARE. It's true confusion does arise when people can't be sure who they are dealing with but that doesn't mean that they WILL harm you. Many consenting adults use online contexts to have sexual relationships and these have been documented in Wow, Second Life and hundreds of websites catering to "special" interests. If you think people are sick, then avoid those sites but don't assume everyone is a predator.

Btw, that link you posted about the WoW paedophile - that site looked ridiculous. OMG teh horrorz of the Interwebz!

Also, sometimes people might take you more seriously if you weren't so patronising.

You really should not be telling people here you were abused as a child. That sort of information is way too sensitive for a public forum like this and possibly against the rules. I'm not even joking. I would advise deleting those posts.

IMO, when they start rolling out expansions with engaging plot lines and carrying on the themes from the last story quests, the game will start being successful.
