As long as they don't make it necessary to do PVP matches to get anywhere in the game (especially equipment) then i will be happy. The poor Oceania players will be screaming with joy should they be forced to pit themselves against USA or JPN connections again. -.- I personally would pay half my weekly income to get a USA connection but its not happening.

For PvE purposes, arena is just for Vanity Gear, because the PvP Gear looks like the best looking gear in the entire game, if the concept art is anything to go by. Can't wait.

How would you know? Surely you're not judging PVP from the minimal exposure people had in beta, well before any PVP-exclusive abilities and balancing were even implemented?

I was curious how knowing or seeing a persons name has any real effect on PvP, so I started to read and by page 3 I came to a conclusion. They want to know who to beat down first. To go "You sir are the weakest link" and bull rush them down for easy kills/points. I have been on that side of the fence before, I dont enjoy PvP in the slightest and only do it for achievements/quests/etc. Its not really fun to come to the conclusion the reason you are dying constantly is because the other team has realized you are terrible and can be farmed for points easily. Especially if its a small map or close quarters sort of thing.

Though the outcome wont effect me in the slightest, I wouldnt mind if the other teams simply saw "Summoner" instead of my name, would help if there happens to be one or two on the team that look similar enough to be mistaken for me. Good for me, and good for the team if they rush the other one thinking its me only to be met by a PvP summoner to be reckoned with. XD

.....you do REALIZED that pvp and pve skill set WILL BE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, RIGHT?

that video was taken place in beta phase 4 where SE havent even add the real pvp skill set.
what you are seeing is the beta players using pve skills in pvp.
