Seriously, first world problems. What is it to you if you get it 2 days later or a week later? None of the rewards grant you any progression in the game, and there's no race (last I checked) to get everything that the game has to offer. Go outside and enjoy life while you're still alive.
I am an NA player and have received my one month Veteran Reward.
Do you know that some of us that have the PS3 and PC version of the game has to wait 30 days + 30 days + 7 days, 2 months and a week?Seriously, first world problems. For NA 2.0's who want a Phial, it's been pretty frustrating seeing everyone else take their slice before you.*
-EU's got them with time cards
-They were freely handed out to 1.0's
-1.0 subscription charges
Please tell me how D:
I understand if people are using credit card/debit card for their subscription. They haven't payed for any time yet and so can't get the veteran rewards. Skipping the trial period is another subject.
The issue I have is with crysta. The whole reasoning behind why game time cards give you time immediately, that adds to any current time, is that you already payed for the card. You already paid for that game time when you bought the card. What about crysta? People who bought crysta have already payed for that and should be able to apply it directly to our game time. Why should someone have to wait until the end of the free trial (even though it isn't "free" since you still bought the game for it) to have game time they already payed for.
The Veteran Rewards are supposed to be rewarded not for time played but for time paid. If someone has already paid for crysta and intends to use it for their subscription, they should already have the veteran rewards.
Because crysta =/= game time. Crysta is currency, just like USD, which could be used for something other than FFXIV time.I understand if people are using credit card/debit card for their subscription. Buying crysta is just like converting your USD into yen; you can pay for FFXIV with yen, but it's no different than paying with USD--the "money" is still in your possession until the subscription bills.
None of the items from vet rewards are actually of any use besides cosmetics/vanity--what's the point?
But Crysta = game time if I decide to use Crysta to pay for a subscription. I have already payed for that Crysta, the same you would pay for a game time card; if I choose to apply that Crysta towards a subscription, the Crysta should be deducted and time should be added immediately. I should not be required to wait for the Crysta to be deducted and for time to be added when I have already payed money for the time I want to gain.Because crysta =/= game time. and no, the "money" is not in my possession at all. I have already spent money on the Crysta which can only be used through SE. I can't go to Sears, Best Buy or some other store and buy something with Crysta.
You did not buy game time; you "bought" crysta, which is simply another kind of currency. You're right, Sears, Best Buy and other stores don't accept crysta. You're also right that it's proprietary. However, it's still just another form of currency that SE accepts. But Crysta = game time if I decide to use Crysta to pay for a subscription. Seriously, can't you just enjoy your free trial without an ahriman or fantasia, and with only two colors of swimsuit? o_0
So say my free time ends Oct 6th, I use Crysta for the first months sub, do I get the vet rewards Oct 7th or Nov 7th when my first month is due?
