Not arguing over the nerf to speed runs. I get SE doesn't want you to do them and that's fine. But ALL you had to do was make it so that to unlock the doors to each boss you had to kill the three packs of cult members, gargoyles(4 packs) and succubus. They did the last two. The added trash was completely a slap in the face. You just made the run LONGER. And for anyone that actually plays the endgame you need to cap the 300 T2 tokens each week, this being the only way to do it really. You just made it more grindy... why? If you made the requirements what I listed(all you're missing is the cult members) then sacing becomes moot because the packs are spread out. You need to kill all the trash to unlock the door and we don't need to kill extra mobs.
The lower the drop rates and the harder the better...
Ya... while all people wanna have all content make before 1 moth of game release. I hope SE ban any people that use unfair mechanism for beat the game soon. Im puke each time that see in you tube people doing AK speed run. Banned, banned please. All free and easy is boring, after all this is a game.
Personally I would love to see all the Darklight gear obtained through this Exploit removed and the characters who did it have their account temporarily banned. Just as that one WoW-Guild claimed "Clever Use of Mechanics" to get the 1st Lich King Kill - Racing through a dungeon avoiding all trash not only is completely against the way the encounter was intended but has now created a massive rift in gear between those who decided to cheat and those who hit 50 after the fix. The punishment should not be against those who are just now able to run the dungeon as it was meant to be run, but against those who exploited an obvious bug to advance their own cause.

I'm starting to sound like a broken record here. Please tell me how is SE supposed to tell who exploited? You can't base it solely on who has a lot Darklight. I've been in the full set myself since early last week (only missing two pieces) and I've never done a single speed run. And I'm still curious as to how this warrants punishment:
1) No one was breaking anything, speed running operated well within the confines of the game's mechanics. No one had to go out of their way to do something really strange like getting boss adds to glitch or finding a way to pass through a solid barrier or anything else strange. All they did was have one person grab the mobs and die while the rest of the group moved on. It's no different than what was consistently done in 1.0 and even XI where people frequently did "sac pulls" in Dynamis.
2) The weekly cap on tomes prevented anyone from really having an "advantage" over others anyway. They reached the weekly cap faster, so what? It's kind of like while you're driving and someone speeds past you, but you end up catching up to him when he has to stop for the red light. Getting to the end faster only means he has to wait longer before he can move again. Meanwhile you have plenty of time to catch up to him.
Then please ban yourself when SE decided that you have kill every mob before getting to the first boss, which mean you also exploited AK.Personally I would love to see all the Darklight gear obtained through this Exploit removed and the characters who did it have their account temporarily banned. No one, no one from SE said it was an exploit until they took down the server and change. Skipping mobs is a players choice, and it is only legal after the publisher decided so.
you are the one cried about speed run that you couldnt finish your hunting log, now SE fixed it for you.The new trash changes have made tome grinding totally unfair to new 50's such as myself. People in my situation now have to spend 300-400% more time grinding tomes for our darklight gear. The only payoff is that we get slightly more trash items to sell. Endgame just became seriously un-fun, I don't expect to pay for service when the trial is over if this keeps up.
Btw, open up your support desk > contact us> leave a suggestion and let them know how you feel. Make sure to mention you do not want to pay for service unless changes are made or more ways to farm tomes are implemented.
And don't forget, square has done nothing to stop the gil seller spam, or increase the blist size, yet they deemed it necessary to make Wandering Palace and Amdapor Keep needlessly long grinds.
so
eat it

SE, the best way to fix speed runs is reward player for killing mobs. If dungeon gives 100 Tomes. Then divide it up where the bosses drop 20 and the rest drop from random mobs in the dungeon. Players can still skip mobs but those that fight through will get max rewards.

I find it funny that SE not only 'locked' certain areas until you killed a specific set of mobs, but also ADDED some mobs that weren't there before. It was like they got REALLY annoyed that people were 'exploiting' sac pulls and decided to punish all players as a result. "Oh, you think you can do speed kills when they weren't intended? HOW ABOUT DEALING WITH TWO MORE PATS RIGHT NEAR THE LAST BOSS DOOR. THAT WILL TEACH YOU~"
