I have never been hacked in any one of my game accounts in the past 10-12 years of MMO gaming.

    1) Don't use a stupid easy to guess password. I'm paranoid and I use a max character limit random characters, punctuation and numbers password I change weekly.
    2) Don't use one email for everything. Don't stick your game accounts on emails that you post in random forums, or give to friends. Make a gmail (or better yet, make an alias on your ISP's given email) and only use it per game account.
    3) Obviously don't give out your information on suspicious sites. Always make sure when logging in that the certificate and URL match square-enix's real site.
    4) If you're lazy enough to use a password typed in a document and copy/paste, look up keepass the program. It's free, and it encrypts your passwords.
    5) Always make sure you virus scan, malware scan and spyware scan your computer frequently. I do mine once a day when I go to bed, with 6 different programs.
    6) Don't give out your information to anybody. Friends, family... I think the 2nd popular way to getting hacked is through someone you know. Even if they didn't hack you, who's to say they don't have a keylogger on their computer..

Slightly over the top and paranoid, but I agree with most of your points.

If you run those programs every day, do you at least have a script that runs it for you? That seems very tiresome to run those every day... Slight over kill haha.
