A Warning to my Fellow Players

I'm all for making lists of botters and all that but sometimes it's hard to prove someone is or is not botting.

Take myself for example, if someone afks between behests. They sit near spawn until warden pops, join up and join party, they don't talk a lot and just kind of kill monsters, rinse repeat. Someone could easily throw around a "bot" accusation simply because it kind of seems like it. I know a lot of people who afk between behests to rank up their lower ranked classes and simply go do other things between behests. Hell I do it, I have a list of games I want to finish so I do that between behests.

All I'm trying to say is, make sure you have evidence before throwing around such accusations. In a game like this a reputation is easily earned and hard to change.

i liked the youtube vid of a now former person in my shell(he was booted for being a bot) who showed him auto following into mobs that someone else was attacking, doing "slight course corrections" whenever he ran into walls and water and such, which attempting to bot farm wolves in shroud. it was hilarious.

the STf is temp down due to the changing in the game. Once these changes are done up the STF will be back.

whereas they say it doesn't mean they actually DO anything about it. I witnessed a botter and reported him. the GM did NOTHING and sent me a message saying whereas the world of eorzea is still vastly unknown some things blah blah blah when i actually followed this level 18 lancer bot farming earth shards (this ofcourse being when shards were a bit of a pain to get AND still worth about 400g a piece) so the warning being appreciated the actual FOLLOW THROUGH of said rules would be appreciated -.-

I have seen the dozens of lalafells that I know have been reported and they are still here. Where are the results?

I must admit I've been away since december but I've been back a week now and have yet to see one RMT /t or bot on Palamecia. Perhaps it's just me and the places I am but I can't say I've seen any suspicious activity. Before december I had 1 RMT /t and reported it immediately. Took all of 1 minute to raise a ticket and ensured anyone else in LS did the same.

The bots are not as often as they were, they are actually starting to ban them at a decent rate, at least here on Lindblum
