I am so ready for summoners to get new summons ... and better controls for them.
I am so ready for summoners to get new summons ... and better controls for them.

I decided to make this my main Job since its very versatile. I found my DOT's were helping alot in boss fights when others had to keep dodging AOE. I also love that Garuda Egi keeps them up as well. I also find if someone dies and the healer has no time to revive them I could stop my DPS and raise/heal them.
One thing I would really like is an option to set my pet to auto-attack everything I attack. Yes I can use sic but its very annoying to constantly remind my pet to focus on what I am attacking because they always go straight for the boss after an add dies.

If they get a new egi every class in the game needs like 5 new skills.
So no.
Lone wolf (Wanna be) Samurai, Mekai.

Every Job will get new abilities with patches if the game progresses, as most likely this will involve a level-cap increase. You have to conquer the egi-Primals at various levels to coincide with the level at which you have to fight the big versions, so it makes sense that to be progressive you'd need to wait for level cap increases.I've heard that Shiva, Ramuh, Leviathan and other primal fights are being added over time.
Will SMN have access to egi from these primals?
If people were worried about it being "unfair" that SMN got new abilities with patches, they could easily make the new egi just optional skins for the 3 existing summons. (Ranged tank melee) with the same abilities just re-animated for their primal copies.
I really hope this is the case. In every FF game that has had summons so far (to my knowledge) you always unlocked the new summons after beating them. It would be a shame to take that away from this.
That said, as for abilities:
Shiva, crowd-control, excelling at locking down, slowing, and impairing/doting targets from range.
Leviathan, healing, support, defense.
Ramuh, ranged aoe damage with the ability to stun/paralyze.
Hmm an Doomtrain or an Diablos Egi should be nice![]()
Odin is directly referred to as an Elder Primal, just like Bahamut.I don't think Odin is considered a Primal
What I wanna know is, who is the QiQirn Primal? We all know the beast tribes worship their respective gods, so who do they worship? Also, will we see a Goblin tribe primal? And who would the Goblins worship. And who would Shiva's worshipper's be? Doesn't seem to fit that Shiva would be the Primal for the QiQirn or Goblins and we know the Sahagin worship Leviathan.
As far as we know, goblins and Qiqirn don't have primals. Nothing that's been hinted at, anyways. More likely than not, Shiva's beast tribe will be the Gigas. They're in the game and we know that her tribe are physically large and from the north.
Personally, I'm curious about what the deal is with the Mamool Ja. They seem like a random beast tribe that doesn't get any mention but they're present in decent numbers in the overworld.
"Unfair"? Why the hell should it be unfair. I play SMN because I want to be able to summon a variety of summons. Even if there are summons that are clearly more weak than others. Stop it with that darn restrictions. I want to be able to summon the Esper I want and not only the filtered strongest 3. That's also for other classes.
I really hope they will add more Egi's with time which don't override our existing...

[QUOTE=Zyeriis;1262025Shouldn't there already be an Odin-egi?[/QUOTE]
I wondered about this myself. Will we get Ramuh or Odin? I personally prefer Odin. xp

i want a shiva summon so bad, just that i am afraid that they will put her as odin a 'fate' primal, which i don't like at all, and i don't think because of that they will add him as egi, so i pray to gods that my fav summon, shiva, will have a spot as a primal battle and that i can summon her in the future!!!!!
I want my Asura Summon from FF2, then i'll make her my slave.... give her some japanese anime voice...
