When new primals are released, will SMN get new egi?

It'll be interesting to see how these new egi will be implemented as. We already have a tank, spellcaster and attacker. Could possibly be a support, enfeebling and secondary spellcaster as their types maybe?

Odin is directly referred to as an Elder Primal, just like Bahamut.

As far as we know, goblins and Qiqirn don't have primals. Nothing that's been hinted at, anyways. More likely than not, Shiva's beast tribe will be the Gigas. They're in the game and we know that her tribe are physically large and from the north.

Personally, I'm curious about what the deal is with the Mamool Ja. They seem like a random beast tribe that doesn't get any mention but they're present in decent numbers in the overworld.

Yes I stand corrected on the Odin remarke after doing the Odin quest he is regarded as an Elder Primal. And, just because there has been no mention of a Primal for the QiQirn or Goblin tribes does not mean they will not have one, I would like to hope we can get something brand new in 'Primal' front from these 2 tribes, or at least a primal from XII lore as I found those summons to be quite nice (plus we are already seeing one won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't completed the main story yet though )

They are not "Gods." They may be worshipped as such, but that's like worshipping the Sun and calling it a "God."

There are other possible primals. Good King Moogle Mog XIV is technically one, as is Odin, and is strongly hinted at as coming in the 2.1 patch.

We have yet to hear a THUD of Alexander yet, but he will surely come.

They have released models of Fenrir, who is associated with Darkness, but he may not come in egi-form. Nor will we get a Mog-egi, though that'd be cute.

We already have Carbuncle, who in typical FF form would be the "Primal of Light." Here, he's a spirit that shares himself freely with any arcanist -- how awfully generous of him!

FFXIII gave us Brynhildr, who also appears as a World name, so this may suggest a form of Primal, but Brynhildr was a way to not have to use Ifrit for FFXIII and as we have Ifrit in FFXIV, her place in this game is not assured.

Other "primals" are hinted at in the storyline and Job quests, but for the sake of spoilers I will not mention them. The Summoner storyline talks about them, and one is mentioned after the credits when you complete the story in the Praetorium.

they could easily make the new egi just optional skins for the 3 existing summons. .

I actually REALLY want this for SCH pets. Reskinning to look like something other than a fairy. The elementals would be nice, or even an Imp. Something less...fairy.
