Uh you said you played WoW but never saw this much spam ? I get like 6 emails a week telling me my WoW/diablo 3 character is being banned and a link for them to steal my account info and I don't even play diablo 3. And as for spam did you never see the 50 character /sleep that spelled out gold sellers Websites in the city ? Not saying this is not a problem but it's just as bad in other MMOs that are not pay2win because the opportunity is there for them because you can't just buy gold/Gil from the cash shop.

That stuff isn't in-game. From my personal experience with several MMOs as well, this is by far the worst RMT spam. I have never had to black list names just for the sake of being able to read the chat log.

Oh but it was in game. Again like I said they would line 50 characters up and all have them /sleep so their website name would be readable. The whispers were about as frequent at least on my server with about 2-3 an hour as for shout spam I would see them in trade chat here and there but I usually had it turned off (much like I have shouts off in this game) but they were definitely there. Also this is a new game that is highly anticipated I somewhat expected this (not saying its ok but just expected) for the first bit since all the new players will go zomg need Gil's where's moms credit card.

Only one other game I can think of that has this much, and you can block very easily and it is usually contained to a general area.. Jita solar system, in Eve online
