Ignorance perhaps.. speaking as a DRG, I don't think the Titan fight favors one or the other really assuming similar damage output, both have the single target LB.. so I'm curious.. I also don't pay much attention to shouts on our server though, separate tab for shouts weeee~

"LNC/DRG has a longer range, plus they can jump out of aoe if necessary. PGL/MNK has to stick very close to the target, so it requires more concentration/skill" is one possible reasoning. People will always find things to justify why they (don't) want something.

I asked who else got the same provider as me and actually one does. He hasn't any problems though. Mine only occur since the maintenance on Monday. Hopefully the next one (today/this night?) will fix it for me.
Already staring at my FPS but nothing unusual there.

*joins the huddling group* Been having 1-5sec lags in dungeons recently, pretty bad considering I'm usually the healer. They come and go though, and the rest of the internet activity isn't affected. FPS are not related to latency btw.

Interesting theory, but still, stupid reason to spend an extra 30 mins shouting for 1 job specifically

Edit: A friend pointed this out and it could very well be true, maybe the real reason is the piercing debuff, which raises damage for both DRGs and BRDs :c seems like a logical reason

I don't know if that's the reason, and I can't really argue since I don't know MNK in it's 2.0 form, I have been busy leveling Scholar. Seeing as you're from Hyperion though, I'm not surprised you're seeing such things. Originally, I come from Trabia, which then merged with Kashuan to form Hyperion, and the (NA) community there was shunning MNK back in 1.0 as well. So it's no wonder they go back to their old ways *shrug* Not the reason I transferred though :P

Yes I remember the monk hate in 1.x on this server, so my linkshell at the time decided to start doing monk DD burns on Moogle and it worked wonders funny enough, fists of fire burned through the pld moogle fast
