Seriously?? It's so easy to get them it just takes some of your time. I continue to be dumbfounded by the number of gamers that want things handed to them with 0 effort. The RMT sellers can sell them because they are actually super easy to get with some time on task.

Well yeah, it's easy to get 1 or even 99. But a craft can use 10~15 shards per synth. I farmed up 1k fire shards last night. I suspect that will last me about a hour and a half at most for my cooking.

The highest amount of shards you will ever use in a craft is 6. All you have to do is start a gathering class and...ohwait, that's literally ALL you have to do to gather shards of ANY type. START a DoL class and go hit stuff with an object. GG.

Actually its 11 shards per synthesis. 5 of one type and 6 of the other. For consumables like food stuffs this means 1,100 shards per stack of food which someone can easily run through on 2-3 hours worth of Titan HM content or any upper 50 content.
