If you already had a 1.0 account, you got the normal ver of ARR for free {$30 value}, then upgraded to the CE for $20. You couldn't have bought the normal PC ver and applied it to an existing 1.0 account, it was impossible due to the ludicracy of how SE decided to handle existing PC accounts.

I have 49 days left because I bought both the PS3 CE and the PC version and registered both. It still wont let me use any crysta to get my veteran rewards.

I couldn't have bought the standard version of ARR with a legacy account? But... I did... So I am the edge case they did not catch? Not technically legacy, but judged as one, that bought $30 standard ARR and then upgraded to $50 collectors edition by paying $20 extra for the upgrade...

I have the emails to prove I bought the standard version as well as a separate email for the upgrade. Unless I bought the game for nothing, in which case my code should still work... If thats the case im going to be more mad than I was about the situation lol.

Sorry but not even judged as one, non-legacy are simply 1.0 accounts, {see the image I posted above, Post #3} It would clearly say you were Legacy and you'd have the Legacy Chocobo, etc

Anyway, besides that, you may want to contact SE, and if possible see if the standard code you have is still valid, it should be cause having a prior 1.0 account nets you a free standard ARR copy, you didn't need to purchase it. The CE upgrade you did though. {Unless, since you did say it was only a trial key you used, in that case maybe that did require a standard code to upgrade to a full 1.0 normal account, then the CE upgrade thereafter...hrmmm}

Curious thought, the code you entered, was it the pre-order items code? Maybe all you entered was that and not the actual game Key, cause honestly it was impossible to add another PC code to an existing PC account, you could only add a PS3 CE code to an existing 1.0 standard PC account. The Pre-Order code was ok though, since that was just for digital items.

I will call tomorrow, but I entered all 3 codes Ive received. Standard edition code, Pre-Order/Early Access code, and the Collectors edition code. I do not have any of the legacy bonuses. If it is true that I received 14 days from having a trial account in version 1 I wish there was a way to tell. I also hope I can get a refund for the standard version and just put it towards a monthly payment.

I've just read all this thread, and I'm still confused!

With 30 free days remaining, what's the earliest I can receive the veteran rewards? I'm guessing that all the rewards come on the same day, as I've seen some of them around town.

I want the Ahriman mount, so I'd be happy to subscribe for three months today.

Legacy only had a free week or two to play, new players not from 1.0 are 30 days free, plus the full week they gave before because of server issues. You are fine~

@Mezolitik, I think that as soon as you can use Crysta/Time Cards/Whathaveyou, then you are good. The game wouldn't let me buy into subs until I ran out of free time, so you may have to wait until your free time is up, then drop the cash. I may be wrong though. Good luck with it!

If you upgraded to the collectors edition via the mog station, you would not have received a code, it simply would have upgraded your account automatically. Given that, you might want to re-think if you actually entered the standard edition code into your account or not. As far as I know, that would have simply been impossible, and should still be a valid code if you wanted to, say, give it to a friend.

The 10 day trial code your friend gave you during v1.0 actually registered as a full standard edition copy of the game at the time. SE was giving that benefit at the same time that everyone was able to play for free. My account was acquired the same way, from my boyfriend's CE that he paid $15 for at the time. I have not had to purchase anything except the digital CE upgrade, and now my first month of subscription.

Hello,

During the Free Trial period, users won't be able to submit payments via credit card or Square Enix Crysta. Even if you set up a subscription, no payment will be processed until after the Free Trial period ends.

When that period is over, you will then be charged for the length of time you've set up and will receive the corresponding Veteran Rewards via the in-game Moogle Delivery Service.

The reason some users already have these items is due to placing time on their accounts through the redemption of game time cards. Please note that these function differently from region to region and the North American Ultimate Game Card is used to add Square Enix Crysta directly to your account instead of adding varying lengths of time.
