    So There billing systems a complete mess and there, customer service support a mess.

    So are they just doing everything in there power to make the game fail And trying to Just get the game to be free to play. I mean Free to play games got a ten time better setup then what going on with this stuff. When this subscription base.
    Never in my life have seen a company not wanting people cash.

    Plenty of people, my husband included, are getting 401 and 601 errors trying to subscribe. He finally gave up today and bought another game. SE, fix this, accept our money. People will leave.

    Worked just fine for me. And it was working just fine even when they started charging to play back in Jan 2012 in 1.0 too.

    Might be restrictions on your credit card or something.?

    I paid for 5 accounts under 1 CC back (helped friends with no CC, they paid me in cash) in version 1.0. Now I suffer 601 and 401 errors. I see charges of $1.00 on my end so obviously it works on my end. it is a real problem and cannot be blamed on the people trying to pay. why it works for some and not other, I don't know but we all share that same frustration.

    I agree with this I can only pay via Ultimate pay and they charge me extra to do so. I have had problems with paying SE for FFXI and FFXIV ever since secure by visa started forever ago. This has been a ongoing problem and though true quite a few people don't have problems, many also do. I would like to show you one post I made about a year ago on the subject. Square-Enix-Payment-Options I hope someday this is resolved because I can pay to play many many games just fine and seems like SE never wants my money ; ;

    Don't worry they will be fixing this. The fact that thousands of players here in Japan cannot play due to billing issues is big news here. This 401 601 issue is a worldwide problem. For example, two of my coworkers have the same bank with the same basic "settings" you could say when handling payments. However, one of them can use his to play and the other cannot due to 401 601. The bank has no idea whats up and neither does SE support. Ive heard from people in a few other countries with the same or similar situations. As for me I've had it happen and managed to work around it in different ways but i can assure you it was not painless. The 1.0 system used click and buy which was not great and it too had many people with issues, but not quite to this scale. For those experiencing it theres a couple threads (more than this) going on about it. I suggest you help the others bump them up to get the issue sorted.
