This does bring up a question: If people paid for a copy of ARR (even ones linked to Legacy), they still have a month effectively prepaid.

Does this mean these people who prepaid their initial month like this will remain forever a month behind in earning Veteran perks?

Or will they be retroactively caught up?

• 1.0/Legacy players only got 14 days {welcome back reward}
• New Account players got 30 days {PC or PS3}
• And then there were some existing 1.0 PC account holders that bought the PS3 ver, applied the code and earned an additional 30 days on top of their 14 +7, thus 51 days

That makes sense, but how is it that I'm getting over 37 days, and I'm not legacy, though i did preorder(though that should have no effect). 3 weeks is 21 days, and i still have 19 left, meaning i somehow recieved more then the additional 7.



Could it be related to being involved in beta before phase 4? just seems weird to me.

Probably since you were in Early Start, those 4 days are counted too, thus you had 41 days, course that counts out to 45.

I have 85 days because on top of my included game time with the purchase of the game, i also applied a 60 day time card. I did that to gain the first two ranks now, not when my subscription would start in a couple weeks.

you got the new account 30 days plan, and after the first week with all the server troubles SE gave everyone an additional 7 days free, so that's how you got 37 days.

How is it even possible that I have an inactive account right now? Since release it has been 20 days. If I did my math correctly, one free month is 30 days.
So, 30 - 20 = 10 days left on my account AT LEAST (Bought it the same day as my friend and he has 19 days left). Not to mention the extra week they promised players because of the maintenance issues during release. My question is, how is it at all possible that ANYONE WHO BOUGHT THE GAME (which does not include legacy players) would have to pay for a subscription yet?



I'll be honest, my friend gave me his free 10 day trial of FFXIV version 1, and the account ended up being active for months because of all the free time they gave the players... If my account is indeed a legacy account then why was I not aware of it before I bought the collectors edition of FFXIV ARR?

I would buy a month right now if I knew it wouldn't have adverse affects, but I am inclined to believe it will.

Not a legacy, but since you already had a 1.0 account, then all you got was the 14 day welcome back and 7 days for server issues.
Your time is up as scheduled, now you have to pay to continue.

Hold on lol. So you are saying I screwed myself out of getting the 30 day bonus that comes with the game because I had a trial account on version 1? That is absurd, but I suppose that is a explanation of whats happening. I bought the normal version in early access, then I upgraded to the collectors edition I think on the day of release.

So I nerfed myself by buying the game already and I do not get the legacy bonuses o.O (besides the fact that i got 14 days... but that sucks as opposed to the 30 you get with the game...)
