No prob! This happens whenever a company goes to take payment, something gets hung up and then they reprocess it. My company(the employees in the field for the company I work for) has done this without realizing the implications. Most likely, either SE or their third party handling payments does not send a rescind request when attempting to take the payment again for the original payment request.
Actually, they have no cause for any hold charges for the subscription. It is a double effort and a violation of Visa/MC rules. The only reason that they should place a hold on the funds is because of a pending charge, which should never happen for a 30 day subscription fee. The charge should process as a single, complete transaction on the date that the subscription begins. If a card is declined, they are required to notify the customer, if it is accepted they are required to provide a receipt. For SE, that must be done by EMAIL, but so far, they have not mentioned anything about any charge to my card.
