How do you rank-up your Chocobo Companion faster?

Chocobo leveling is 100% based on xp gained.



Nope. You have to kill mobs that give your class xp. It shows your chocobos xp in the chat log under the xp your class gained. It just takes a really long time. Your chocobo doesnt get your rested xp bonus. The only bonus they get is the chain bonus.

Normal level. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be possible to get a text display on their level bar, so knowing exact amounts of EXP needed is difficult.

It's clearly quite a lot though.

can't remember where i saw this but i came across something that said the chocobo gained exp proportional to your current level. so that, if you are a lower level he, and you as well, will level up faster then if you were a higher level. no real tests but i have noticed the bar moving a little quicker since i have been using him on my second class vs. my 50 BRD.
