    Anyone feel like WAR/MRD is less fun than it was in 1.0?

    I played 1.0 from CE untill just after Ifrit came out and I really really enjoyed playing MRD, It had lots of great utility like breaking heads/horns on enemies(how come they got rid of this system it lead to teamwork between dps), tons of great aoe ESPECIALLY storm's path? Does anyone remember how fun storm's path was to use?

    Now look at MRD's moves, skull sunder once a great move is just a boring part of enmity combo, Storm's Path doesn't even do AOE anymore and is boring. It was once MRD's top move, reduced to just a small heal now. Hell unless you are infuriated your only aoe is overpower which is useless outside of gaining enmity. Combo moves are nice and all, but it's really kinda sad that none of mrd's offensive main attacks have any use if not combo'd, it pretty much leads to us spamming the same 3 combos over and over which is pretty boring.

    As a player who mained dark knight in ffxi I started mrd to fill the hole in my heart for big two handed damage, but now i'm being forced in to a tank roll (even worse since dutys force groups in to set types) I really can't stress how much I miss old mrd and hope we get something like dark knight so that I can play mrd the way I want.

    MRD's old skills really used to look like they had power behind them, they look so weak now I think it's because they used to look like the weapon actually weighed anything, now they just swing their giant heavy weapons like they are made of styrofoam

    Maybe if they just gave Warrior ability to use their wrath specials and it would consume only one or two charges. I believe that would fix the whole problem, giving players much more leeaway in dungeons. You could burst heal yourself with IB, you could actually use other abilities because you would not lose the healing and crit bonus and it would in general feel much more fluid.

    If they want to keep the mechanic , they need to buff the amount healed from Inner Beast, have to build 3 charges instead of 5, defiance always provide the bonus healing and crit and have a mechanics that gives us more parry rate.

    Well, I dunno if you would have to buff the percentage if you could hit IB 5 times in row, then Infuriate and hit it another 5 times in row. But I don't know how spiky the damage is in late dungeons, so this might not be enough for that.
