The tank we want

So far as I've seen, healing for a Warrior or a Paladin hasn't made nearly as much difference as healing for competence or idiocy.
Recent Example: I've popped queues for Aurum Vale 4 times so far as healer, and not once have I finished the place.
1. Insta-queue tank bombed out before the opening cinematic finished, leaving us stranded and back at the end of the line...
2. I was forced to choose my dignity and a desertion lock-out on account of perhaps the WORST tank I've ever seen in an MMO
*After 3 pulls into the dungeon -- Not a single Taunt. Not a single Flash. Attacking only 1 mob per pack, leaving the rest orange and free to munch on my face after the first Cure 1.
*2 wipes later, DPS says "healer sleep mobs". I left them to rot in their stupidity.

I don't care if you're Warrior or Paladin...if you keep me alive, I will thank you by doing the same.

They get a lot harder after 34.

While competence is definately most important in a tank, I think I still like Paladin over Warrior, Warrior is kinda spiky damage sometimes. Paladin seems more smooth - healing is more predictable. But again, prefer a competent Warrior over fail Paladin any day ;0

I haven't really checked who I'm healing, so can't really tell. Geez, after hitting 30 it takes a while to get runs so I don't really mind what I'm healing as long as the person is decent :P

That's funny. I did aurum veil as a Pld in a PUG the other night. The Blm had a nice marco that told the party a mob was being slept AND marked it.
3rd pull in, the mnk starts attacking a slept mob again (did this on all 3 pulls). Blm asks the mnk to please not attack slept mobs

Mnk: "It challenged my authority"
Blm: "Please just attack what the Pld had marked and is attacking"
Mnk: "Are YOU challenging my authority?"

I swear, I can't make this crap up..... should have taken it as a sign for the run....

I take back what I said about Paladin>Warrior. Average Paladin>Average Warrior but a Competent Warrior is something great to have, I had the chance to see. They're just rare since it's an harder class to play then Paladin, from what I understood.
