Since you want to ask people if they can read, can you explain something? How will someone be a Goldsmith if they're from Gridania and happen to be allied to the Adder? Goldsmithing is an Ul'dahn talent and based on ul'dah, if we're waring with the Flames guess who can no longer become a Goldsmith simply by affiliation?

Faction warfare makes zero sense in this game.

They have already decided to do Factional Warfare via frontlines based upon your GRAND COMPANY here is some info for you to READ;

"For A Realm Reborn‘s PvP we plan to implement two elements: the Coliseum for “casual” PvP matches and the Frontline for large-scale PvP battles. Frontline will feature epic battles among the three city-states and would be similar to a Realm vs. Realm which you can look forward to."

So explain how is a three faction game fighting in frontiers a gankfest? I guess you never played in a constant group searching for 8vs8, its nothing about ganking.

Have you ever played open world pvp? No matter how it's set up if it's non-concentual it ends up being a gankfest. That ruins games for me. I want to play not be ganked.

Fought via Free Companies, which are affiliated to a certain GC, which is why you create a free company in each city and not one set location. When you actually play the game it tells you more than outdated information.

You never answered, how will the game work when everyone is at war with each other? Your character can do everything, so how will it work when all guilds are spread throughout the city-states? Also I see nothing in your quote that says 'Factional Warfare", as said definition means everyone will be killing everyone simply because they're in a different Faction.

Get over it man...the PVP is based upon the FACTIONS...what difference would it make if your signed up through yer FC or not...its REALM vs REALM based upon the 3 CITY STATES lol

factional warfare doesnt equate to OPEN WORLD PVP...it just means the basis of the fights will be based upon the factions associated with each city

Way to bring nothing of value into the discussion just to go on your little rant. None of that has anything to do with 3-way world PvP.

Anyways, on the subject of open world PvP, it really wouldn't make sense considering the story for the game, along with it just not working with the kind of game ARR is. We are getting frontlines, though. That may be an entire zone dedicated to PvP against the three companies, or something.

The thread's title leads itself to much more than just that. If it's supposed to be about that one single topic, then maybe it shouldnt have such a misleading title, don't you think?
