Summer Festival in FFXIV (Let's hear your suggestions!)

Guys, let's hear your suggestions on what you want to see for SummerFest in FFXIV!

Here's my list:

• Various choices of swimwear (thong bikinis, one-piece suits, tanktops, etc for the ladies; speedos, swim trunks, etc for the men).
• Watermelon-cracking minigame that makes consumable watermelon slices! (a staple in Japanese summer vacations)
• Chocobo races for us to gamble on! (With "vacation tickets", not actual gil, for winning prizes such as aforementioned swimwear)
• A beach zone for the express purpose of vacationing.
• A "beauty contest" for both men and women, where players vote with the help of a moogle. (Popularity contests, complete with the drama of rivalries~)

a beach zone sounds interesting aswell, but i doubt we'll get a zone just for an event (well, just not yet ;D?)

I don't think it would be too difficult to actually just clone a portion of the La Noscea coastline and make it linked only to Limsa Lominsa, devoid of mobs and specifically for vacation quests.

EDIT: Also, the watermelon minigame? You could use the DoL menu for that! (In real life, you are blindfolded and guided towards the watermelon before you try to hit it. It's like pinatas.)

now that you're saying it, i remember visiting an island in my rank 36 armorer quest, sadly can't visit it outside of the quest.
could just use that place and add some summer festival flavor to it.

As long as it dosent involves pole-dancing like in wow...on the other hand... hm...

Anywayz...enough of that...

Id suggest some Class event kinda like the one in Chrono Trigger, doable even as rank 1.
For example a shooting range for archers, all you would need is a Bow & some arrows. (maybe get / borrow from npc)
Shoot some dodo's popping up behind a counter, should be easy enough to do with the current targeting system.

Strongman for Marauder / Pugilist, im not sure the general term for it in english...
its where u hit a plate with a sledgehammer & try hit the bell up top.

Pugilist could try punch a bag, using diffrent WS they could do various damage & get various prices, or just plain random again.

Fishermen... try catch the fish event, maybe in a small pond.

Botanist, toss a log? lol... nah, maybe wood-chopping contest.

i hated this about aion already... the swim suit stuff especially, IF that gets implemented we might as well have laser swords, and blinkydinky gear and armor and a pet-zoo like in perfect world, where you get eyecancer just by looking at the color-FULL screen... I like the scenery and the mix of realism and fantasy, futuristic style i also like but i dont want people to run around in swim suits...

If so, then i don't mind, even though im not a fan of that idea but that wouldn't destroy the ff-style then.

if you jump into water with hempen shorts/bikini i bet youll be naked right after... but i bet some alchemists have the "stretch" we need for that then.

But yeah, swimsuits that fit the theme/art direction of XIV is a good start. Just would prefer to have a one-piece suit for my character. Totally not interested in exposing her midriff for all to see.

EDIT: Actually, a swimsuit similar to what Ruliya wears in "Aqua Knight" by Yukito Kishiro would be a perfect fit! Links below.
