120 Minute Queue and counting for AK - Beef up Dungeon Finder

it is all depend on the time that you doing it. During peak time, 30+ min with full party is normal.

it is SE fault to ask everybody to play on the same DF for 60 runs just to get 1 set of gear.

If you run other dungeon thought, those have different DF server, and no need to wait reserve time.

The quickest queue I've had has been 45 minutes and that only happened once. Yes I play a DPS class so the queue will be longer for me than healer/tank.

I've made it a point to ask the healer/tank how long they spent in queue whenever I happen to get in. Their avg. time is 40-60 mins. which is still to long.

Hopefully this can be addressed soon, an avg. queue time for a dugneon should be around 30mins, hell I'd live with an hour... 2 hours is a bit much.

I waited 50 minutes this morning queuing with tank and healer. We get an instance and the pug DPS declines the queue, so my group gets has to wait another thirty minutes to reserve an instance. Why does this happen? We didn't decline the queue, some AFK DPS did.

Having a premade group and waiting 30 minutes is bad enough.. But having a premade group, where one person leaves after 35 minutes (resetting the queue time for reasons beyond my understanding), then having a member not accept the queue because they've had to goto the bathroom for over an hour (again, resetting the queue time, which at this point is well into prime time) is just a poorly designed system..

As I said in a previous post. I understand as a DPS I will have a longer wait than a tank or a healer... I don't mind 30 min. waits... sometimes I don't mind 60min waits, there's enough things I want to do that can occupy that time.

But 189 minutes!? Like I said, I got out of the queue (was in full party for more than 1.5 hours) and then re-queued for 5 dungeons (WP, AK, Ifrit: Hard, Prae, Castrum)...

I got a pop on my queue 30mins later to do HM Ifrit. At that time it was 10:30pm cst so I took it. Took 10mins to beat the instance then had to sleep for work.

So from 5:30cst to 10:30 I was in a queue waiting for a dungeon.

SE Please add more infrastructure to the Duty Finder server, it is lacking big time. This is a server issue, has nothing to do with DPS. Reserving an instance took more than 2 hours for a pre-formed party... very weak.

At 189 minutes (3 HOURS FOR MATH IMPAIRED), I gave up... and requeued for 5 different dungeons. Took a pic before I exited that queue tho :/

Farm dungeons with static parties.

@Bridgeburner - You should probably read the thread before you make yourself look like a fool with smart!@# responses... The issue isn't the queue to FIND a group, it's the queue for a full group to get onto the dungeon server.

For example, as a solo dps, if I queue at 6:00 AM EST I'm looking at ~30 minute wait to find a group and get into the dungeon, if I try the same thing at 8:00 PM EST I'm looking at ~30 minute wait to find a group + 30-60 minute wait to reserve a spot on the dungeon's server. Of course this only applies to AK, if I queue for a CM I consistently get 20 minute queues with no issue.

AK is our only way to consistently get Tomes of Myth, that's absolutely ridiculous
The AK server can't handle the load, I assume when you run AK it's on a Commodore 64.

Solution is to spread out where we can grind out Tomes of Myth and/or increase the capacity of the instance servers.

I have queued solo and in a group as I'm sure you all have. TBH theres not that much difference in the time it takes to get into a dungeon. The Dungeon Finder system doesn't seem to have issues making the party, as a solo when I queue it only takes 10-15mins for party to form. It's waiting for the Instance to be Reserved that takes forever. As I stated, sat in a party for 2+ hours just looking at Reserving Instance...

Check join grp in progress...there are probably 200 half grps sitting in their dungeon waiting for a tank/healer. As a dps if you check join grp in progress, I get an instant queue. Tanks/healers do the same and this issue would resolve itself. Instead people are being selfish and impatient..

What I find the most strange about the "Reserving instance.." regarding Amdapor Keep is that it's almost exclusive for that instance. Why have they limited the DF servers to a per dungeon entry basis rather than a total number? If you queue for nearly anything else with a full group or enough people in the DF looking for it, they will get in instantly.

This doesn't make much sense, especially since it should've been expected that Amdapor Keep in particular would end up this popular when it's the only dungeon that rewards a ratio of Tomes of Mythology worth the time spent outside of the Coil (Primal Hard fights don't award enough to make it worth doing, not to mention you can't do anything with the excessive weapon drops), which has a limited amount that you can get per week (and even less players can actually clear even the first first wing which is 50 Tomes).
