Don't skip cutscenes in Praeotorium if first time

Don't use DF as a speed run. Or don't complain about someone watching a CS.

Don't join a non DF speed run and expect them to just sit idle while you watch a CS.

Of course peopla can enjoy the game the way they want, but if you want a speed run with everybody skipping cs, make a run with your friends, or maybe u don't have friends wouldn't surprise me with that attitude. It only upsets me when people don't say it is their first run and don't ask for info of what they should do on boss fights.

We had people watching cutscenes in praetorium and did all the fights while they were watching cutscenes, I think we skipped 6 cutscenes for them since we activated more while they were still in them.

If you want to waste time in cutscenes make a run with your friends or pug for people who also want to waste 45 minutes watching them, or maybe you don't havve friends wouldn't surprise me with that attitude.

I love the loop people are getting into already. People skipping all the cutscenes, ignoring dialog, bum rushing the story (which is admittedly somewhat short so far). Then complaining that everyone else does not skip, and complaining that there is no content.

Slow down, watch a cutscene, read some dialog. Enjoy some combat. If you get 0 entertainment out of 'trash' mobs, why do you play? You know there will be more trash mobs no matter what content they add.



I understand some people may not have played FFXI. But seriously, Salvage, Dynamis, Nyzul Isle. All way worse grind fests when they were released.

Heck, how many Up in Arms BCNMS have we all done trying to get that stupid club?

Agreed, except on the word "already"; this has been an issue for a long time. The worst part is when people who flew through the game represent themselves as the soul of the community on forums. They are not.

Everybody plays their own way. Everybody has their own kind of fun. Their kind seems rather limited and sad, though I'm sure that's only my opinion.

Back to the thread, though; if you're gonna group with 7 randoms, expect to respect 7 other people for a short duration. If you take your 3 friends in to speedrun and the other 5 people want to watch cutscenes, you aren't gonna badass it alone; so chill. If you berate people, you deserve to get reported for harassment.

I don't get why people need to rush through things. Should enjoy the game the way it was made. Asking someone to read the last page of a book then go back and read the rest later is ridiculous.
