it's not like you're lock onto one job and will never have use of those weapon(unless everybody is stupid and just pass what's not for their current job).

It's fun how i capped my weekly myth tome repeating ifrit / garuda endless, and i saw the ifrit healer staff just ONE time, lost on a bad roll. I collected nearly all weapons except this one rofl![]()

Yeah, unless you have a perfect group every time you run it, it is unfortunately counterproductive to run these fights repeatedly. I say if you don't get it after a few attempts move on and focus your efforts on AK runs (until 8 for the week) and CM runs. Do this while working toward the relic weapon. Even getting the first step of the relic weapon is likely to be a decent enough weapon to let you get through those other fights. If you have full darklight/af2 gear going for titan, minus a weapon, I am sure you will be fine. Kill it once and be done with it.
My beef with this system, you have shit RNG on the weapons, and the other option is run AK something like 65 times to get full darklight... So either it is a grind fest... or it is a grind fest... there is not happy middle. 65 times is just rediculous (imo). I am not at all suggesting they just hand everyone the loot, but if you have cleared the dungeon, making you clear is 64 more times does not make you a better player... it just means you have a TON of time on your hands.
If i want to play only 2 or 3 hours a week, i can play single players or other genres. MMO'S are not ment for this typ of players, if the would make the game like that, people would be max gear in the first week.My beef with this system, you have shit RNG on the weapons, and the other option is run AK something like 65 times to get full darklight... I had the opposite problem. 50+ ifrits and no SCH book. The only things that fell lol were spears and Summoner books. Then I got lucky and my first Garuda run I got the SCH book. yay me!

Lol I healed Garuda no problem yesterday with a vendor lvl 45 book. People are just stupid and bad if they need a gear crutch. I think garuda felt bad for me and dropped my Book though my first time through.

Unlucky brah. Took me 22 Garuda kills to get my book.
Oh and by the way - I did it in AK armor and a green level 50 book (read: sucky gear). If people are raging and leaving because someone isn't geared, they suck. Garuda is easy and not a gear check.
ak +50 green book is totally ok for Garuda, people are ragin about guys with lvl 30 rings braclet etc... and there lvl 45 blue equip. You cant go there with that gear be it a tank/healer or dd

Wrong. We did it as an FC last night and one shot it. Then continued to do it until everyone got their weapons. I was using a lvl 45 vendor book and the only DL i have is belt and 3 jewelry. The rest of the group has about the same gear, maybe a few AK pieces thrown in and some ifrit weapons. This is an easy mechanics fight to farm.
So you have 4 DL peaces and the rest of the group also, why should Garuda be a problem, did you even read what i wrote. DL is way better than lvl 30 rings etc and also than the 45 gear.Wrong.
