I don't think the problem is so much with PUGs it's the fact that Duty Finder forces 2 tanks.I finally killed Titan HM with pugs
This is the video of the fight, it might be helful for someone, anyway i accidentally deleted the first part of the video before the heart, so in order to show that phase i just went inside again and recorded the first part with some other ppl, sorry for that :l

Grats on win.
I would agree with this but sadly PPL started shout for BUY the Titan fight, meaning that PPL get relic without much effort anyway.
PPL are aware that Duty Finder is not the best way and there's risk on forming party (for Titan) but still they complain, they rage quit or leaving party saying "waste of time". If is a waste of time, why you joined with duty finder and you didn't formed a party (like I did with Garuda Hard) in your server? Since Duty Finder takes 2 Tanks, would be better for use as test the fight and then shout for players when you feel ready...
As for me, I haven't cleared Titan yet for my relic (lack of players with free time and jobs for it). I think the thing that you MUST be the job of your relic is a shitty thing ever made. It just make party more hard to build specially when need a healer or a X job, where someone could play healer and still get the credit for the clear. But is just my opinions, everyone can think how they want. I probably gonna beat him anyway someday like I did with Garuda in 1.0 and in ARR. Maybe...

I'd have to agree, if I was SE I would remove titans weapons and just have him drop the Relic, because its the hardest and only obstacle in getting one :SI am wondering how this turned into a "Titan is too hard" thread. While the difficulty does play a part in what is wrong with it, it is more about where it is in progression. It dropping only ilvl70 stuff when you get ilvl70 from the easier garuda fight is one error. 2nd error is that this is last fight for ilvl80 weapons/shield. If they are going to do that, titans weapons should at least be ilvl75, better than garuda's. Still wouldn't even matter if you are doing that fight for your relic weapon, won't even need titans weapon for that class after you beat it. Its not like they can't do smaller adjustments like that, we do have ilvl55 and everything below that is in even smaller increments.
They need to do much balancing to their progression, that they should have done before releaseing it...
Then have the NPC in Hyrstmill upgrade it to relic + 1.
Or better still have the titan weapon upgradable to a relic, definitely better ways to do this.

Yea it's a bit sad that players are hiring mercs this early on in the games life, especially when the playing field is quite level and there is a lot of interest in the current content.
The rage quit in the community right now is staggering. I understand if your DPS is too low but I have seen some cry babies leave after one run when we were close to getting it down.
Selling titan runs fuels gilsellers.

This is probably exactly what happened. In short, they didn't finish what they started. And as they made them, they are but a small upgrade over the ilvl70 weapons. I don't see why they didn't just leave them ilvl 95, and make relic +2 ilvl105 or 110. I'm actually not going to be suprised if it is because they for some reason couldn't exceed ilvl99 in their code without major glitches. . . .I feel like Titan weapons were originally intended to be a higher item level, but then things were adjusted.
The reason I say this is because the Relic weapon, in beta, was item level 95. I remember very distinctly because I was super confused by it saying "Lv. 95" in my WHM equip log. Then it got downgraded to item level 80, presumably to 'make room' for the +1 version that may or may not have been 'rushed'.
Ifrit: 60
Garuda: 70
Titan: 70 (Maybe it was meant to be 80. Originally. Before the relic iLevel got downgraded to make room for the relic+1.)
Now it seems silly and weird. I personally think the Titan weapons are super ugly. Perhaps if they add in some sort of aesthetic feature, people will actually want these weapons.
Garuda's weapons are easier to get for the same Ilvl. IF they left relic weapons @95, and made titan weapons 80, this would be true. People would do Titan Hard for weapons to supplement classes they don't get relics for, however that is not necessary with the fights dropping the same strength gear.

You got many classes to level in this game, You might be going for relic fists and an top of that lets say that you get the Titan Axe as well which is not bad at all.
Titan's drops are worthwile if they are not meant for your primary class.

It's explained when logging the quest that primals are affected by both the amount of crystals gathered, and the fervor of their followers: The kobold HATE limsa right now for breaking their treaty, and they were able to gather a massive amount of crystals with relative ease due to the mines being underground. /nerdDoes it confuse anyone that the storyline progression of these fights is
Ifrit > Titan > Garuda
And then the hardmode progression of these fights is
Ifrit > Garuda > Titan... ??
I mean, I understand Titan is the 'new' fight. I played 1.0, and Ifrit and Garuda were both there. But then why would they make the storyline progression include Titan in the middle? It just bugs me. Sorry, it's a bit off topic... but still. >_<;;

Oh people, believe me. Free Companies would still killing all Primals after SE bring the planned Primal summoning for the Free Companies (the real Primals, not some Egis).I still think that you should only be allowed to fight each of the Hard Primals once and receive a key item stating that their power is added to your weapon of choice. I have heard nothing but bitching from people on the game about fighting Titan, and nearly all of them don't want to fight him. Plus people are downplaying other people saying you need experience and high-end gear just to defeat him...
