Is it just me or when a Whitemage puts regen on a tank before pull he will have 1000 times more threat then you or when they are healing the party with waves of mobs coming they got 100% threat even if the tank has flashed them twice before hand?![]()

Once upon a time in Azeroth
Tank- Im here for only one item
Noob- OK
Tank- Takes loot from last boss
Noob- YOU FAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG NOOB WHY YOU TAKE HELM?!?!
Tank-

It working as intended since if you over-heal a person it generate threat, so suggestion for whm is to use regen after first Cure heal, to prevent mass aggro. So for example if they throw regen on whole party before combat, good luck on trying to get those aggro on those mobs.

So what you are saying is that WHM is a skill based class and msot of the WHM that are out there just plainly sucks for overhealing? :P

Pretty much, I learnt as I level up via dungeon and other stuff, that over healing is a bad idea.

I use Stoneskin and Regen quite liberally and haven't yet managed to pull hate from FC tank...
Cure when necessary, Cure II when needed or I have a freecure.
Stoneskin I try to keep up on myself and the DPS, on tank only right before boss fight start.
Finished story up to and including Cape Westwind
Other dungeons cleared: Halatali, Sunken Temple, Dzemael Darkhold
Dungeon left uncleared: Cutter's Cry
Dungeons untouched: Aurum Vale, Wanderer's Palace
I have noticed this as well. It seems that if you cast REGEN on party members then any mob they aggro or pull, or mobs that spawn will have a massive amount of enmity on the WHM who cast the regen. I'm not so sure this is how the regen spell was intended. I hope not at least.

Think you have misunderstood the OP, he means putting regen on a tank before pulling.. not during fight..I use Stoneskin and Regen quite liberally and haven't yet managed to pull hate from FC tank...

@OP best thing to do is stoneskin your tank before each pull, when he has used his flash/overpower throw regen on him and refresh stoneskin as needed.. you can pretty much just do that the whole fight tossing a cure 1 / free cure 2 if needed.

This is not a bug healers get 0.5 threat per 1pt of healing so say if you heal critical you get threat. In my opinion this stupid but that is the way it is.
This doesn't just apply to pulls thou. Take Garuda hard mode for example. In the later phases, she spawns "sisters" that will go straight for the white mage if the white mage has casted regen. I'm not sure why having cast regen gives enmity to the white mage like that. The whole 0.5 threat per 1 pt of healing is not the issue in question here I do not think. From what I understand we are talking about the fact that when you cast regen on someone, if a mob is pulled or a mob spawns, the threat is automatically on the white mage who cast regen, and it is a significant amount of hate at that. Never cast regen on a tank before they engage, because the mob will come right after that white mage, and the tank sometimes has a little difficulty getting initial hate. I'm not sure if this is how they intended regen to work or not. lol
