do you realize that there will be more dungeons to farm mythology tomes?
well indeed, this is the best way to sustain a P2P game
the longer people play, the better
of course, it's from SE's perspective

Oh yea people taking major advantage of the speed runs before they quick-fixed them would not only be way ahead of people in mythologies, but especially philosophies. SE with their "internal testing" simply didn't see that coming.
More hindsight: They SHOULD have had the content tested by the beta testers before ph4. They didn't even need to have related story quests, they just needed to have the dungeons tested by competent and diverse minds before all this happened. Too little to late #stoppedcounting
You mean all I have to do is run AK once a day and I will easily have my AF+1 pieces easily and binding coil drops are of equal value... Damn this game is so hard to gear up.
Seriously stfu with this. Tome farming isn't the main gearing option it would be drops BUT the reason they have tomes is b/c even if you don't get a drop eventually you will from tomes. Get over it.
The only thing I will say in OP's Defense is:
There should be more than 1 outlet to obtain these " Tombstone" things. Running 1 Dungeon on a loop cycle is like listening to 10 hours of something on youtube. ( not even sure if someone even accomplished sitting in front of a computer and listening to the SAME thing for 10 hours). Needs to have more than 1 source.
As far as time is concerned, maybe it is a tad too much but I haven't gotten to that point yet. End game stuff should take quite a bit of time to complete.

Even wow, the "Easist game ever" has currecny caps.

5 months is a bit, excessive.

Problem is the current content and way to farm tokens. Right now it's farm AK for mytho(garuda if you have a solid group as a change of scenery) then run CM for T1 tokens until reset. Thats. It. Titan is nearly impossible through duty finder and the only other end game content right now is coil which requires you to beat titan and have full DL to actually attempt. The game is incomplete right now and it's annoying. If CT was in for launch and we had a dungeon to crawl BEFORE coil for ilv80 gear then that might actually help the situation. However, I'm not really holding my breath for CT because it's a 24 man dungeon. I mean come on. It's hard enough to get 8 people as it is. Hoping 2.1 brings a lot more than CT.
It really depends on other factors in assessing whether 5 months is long or short. If it is like FFXI where relics/AF2 could last quite some time, then 5 months is probably a decent investment (although 5 months play time probably equates to 2years if you play 5 hrs/day). However, this game is clearly steering towards clear content > patch > new content > clear content > patch and so on, where gear becomes obsolete so quickly. With such a design, any gear requiring excessive grind is just not worth it. It is also pretty clear that the AF2 pieces are filler pieces until you can get something better. But in such cases, might as well not call it AF2/relic gear and just brand it some generic armor.

The reason for the mythology cap is so that hardcore players will not leave those casual players behind. The thing is, they already ruined this by nerfing AK

It's 3 years to gear up all jobs in AF2, 5 months PER job. People need to learn how to add, omg..
