I believe you are mistaken here...? You get a set amount of gearsets when they're first unlocked, and each time you unlock a class or job after that you get one new gearset slot. I can't remember how many you get by default, but the end result is that you end up with like 5 or so extra gearset slots even if you make one for each class and job in the game. I have all my classes and jobs in gearsets no problem.

When you unlock a Job it does NOT increase your maximum number of gearsets. Only when you unlock Classes, and the default is 2 shy (ACN wasn't really in their calculation for both its jobs).

I've only just gotten my Dragoon Job and it didn't increase my Set count from 26 to 27. Unless Summoner / Scholar add a Gearset when they are learned, we are going to be short.

There are 2 different types of 'Gear Sets'. The Gear Sets I'm talking about are your Quick-set selections that you can put together. The Gear Sets you are talking about do exist, and are Primarily Grand Company gear, or later high-end gear and they do say 'Bonus: ________ for __ of Set equipped'.
