FWIW, I too was being dropped like crazy and NEVER had this issue with other MMOs.

*I have since fixed this issue*

I was was playing over an older wireless G network router with 2% packet loss (pingtest.net). Out of frustration I went out and picked up an brand new N wireless router and have yet to DC. The packet loss (pingtest.net) has also dropped to 0%.

Squeenix needs to handle packet loss better but in the short term the above solution has absolutely eliminated the 300002 from my life.
