Too much to ask but can we add something so we can craft items on our phones
Hello!
We’ll be continuing to add and improve the Libra Eorzea app with updates moving forward. Currently we are planning to add the below items:
- Class and job actions list
- Hunting log / crafting log / gathering log / fishing log
- Guildleves / guildhests
- Dungeons / FATEs
We’ll be putting these in after we release the Android version of the app.
Please continue to let us know what kind of things you would like to see, and we'll be sure to pass your feedback on to the development team!![]()

I was really hoping it was going to be more like World of Warcrafts Armory App.
say what ya like about the game, but a phone app that lets you not only browse ingame item databases, but your seRver's actual auction house (and both purchase and sell from it) and also chat with your guildmates ingame while you're on your mobile device, was something that should have been shamelessly copied.
What's the app for? Is it just meant to be a database or is it meant to interact with the game in some way (the way WoW and PSO2's do)?
As a database I'd like to see maps (with clickable hotspots for FATEs/camps,etc), lore (character info, etc) and crafting recipes.
If it's meant to turn into something with a bit more meat on the bones I'd like to be able to view and ideally buy/sell on the market wards (the way you can with WoW's app), access a dev/FC calendar (showing maintenance times/upcoming patches/in-game events, etc) and access FC chat. Basically WoW's app, but FFXIV-style
Whether any of that's feasible is another matter but hey, you asked!![]()
Since this is the thread that got tagged by the devs, I would like to ad my thread post about the app to this thread.
I was actually kind of excited about this, thought it would be a handy resource to help me locate where particular gear will drop or how to fine certain mats but I've noticed a few things are seemingly unfinished.
First off, I do realize this was just launched and will most likely be something they will be constantly refining and adding to. That being said, I hope they can look to this posts for a few things that might help refine the feature.
The very first thing I noticed was when I tried to sign in. Maybe I was doing something wrong so if anyone can correct me I would greatly appreciate it. I entered my user name and password, same as I would to log into the game, but I didn't see the "Authenticator" field, I may have clicked through it but after several tries I just gave up and decided logging in wasn't really necessary.
On to the next thing I noticed. Again it might be PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair) but I had to actually search for something specific before I could open up the fields to look for general things (MRD / Armor / Head / Lv50+) would one of the buttons along the top have taken me right there? Did I just need to spend more time tinkering? Should this be the first page main search window?
Lastly, and this was a little frustrating, I was trying to get all the Cavalier Armor for my WAR out of Brayflox and wanted to verify that all the pieces were in that dungeon and which boss/chest would contain what I need. Once I found it, which wasn't really hard, it said something like;
Drops from enemy: NO
Bought from vendor: NO
Sell to vendor: NO:
(fourth field I cannot recall about location): NO
It said nothing about where it is actually located. Several other Items I searched in succession after this also yielded similar "useful" information.
That seems to be the first gripes I ran into with the app. If they can fix/I can figure out, how to make this more user friendly, then this would be a really handy companion for crafting or just making sure you know where that gear you want is located. Again, I'm sure these things will be updated and adjusted as they go. I love this app and look forward to seeing it grow with the game.
If anyone else has something the want to add/correct me on, I'd love to hear it. Thanks and happy gaming!
PS: Sorry if my info is sketchy, I only toyed with it for 10 min last night and I don't have my iPad with me right now to verify these questions. I was hoping the knowledgeable forums could inform me of my ignorance, I know they are good for that.![]()
First you put in your username and password, then click Log In. Then it will ask you for your authenticator password if you have one on your account. The very first thing I noticed was when I tried to sign in. The logs and FATES are a really good addition, but will we see map functionality to complement those?
Assuming you're just talking about browsing the listings, the top left button from the main menu opens up a list of categories that you can browse. Is that what you mean?On to the next thing I noticed. Yes, thanks. The symbols didnt really mean anything to me and I only briefly checked it out. IMO it should be the first thing that comes up.
Please bring a Vita version soon; not all of us have smartphones.
