Amdapor keep is a terrible dungeon. It's a mere corridor with 3 bosses and an army of trashs mobs which only purpose is to slow you down. If it was interesting (or if you didn't have to farm it for tomestones) nobody would complain. Its funny from a legacy player's perspective. In 1.0 one of the biggest qualms was the fact that speed runs were necessary. You literally didn't need to fight most mobs in the dungeons (except CC obviously). I am so happy they got rid of this aspect. With all the "omg they hand you everything in this game" threads and comments, I'm surprised people are upset about this change. If you just want speed runs why don't we just make empty dungeons with only bosses or enemies as non attackable NPCs.
Also want to note I don't get to play very much and I welcome this. Now you actually have to fight your way through the dungeon to win. To me that makes sense. Play the game to get rewards... even if it does take some time.
Everything becomes boring at some point in time. Your definition of "interesting" is temporary and subjective. Just as anything difficult is temporary once you know how to solve it. Do you think the rubik's cube is difficult to solve once you know how to do it properly?
Project deadlines, financial expenses, leeway for problems to occur, potential failure to implement wanted feature (wasted time and money), time dedicated to priority tasks, risk management, etc. Work a day in your life on something that revolves around millions of dollars, and you might understand (just as I have). Then again, most people won't land a job that handles such things worth even a fraction of that. Risk management is a huge factor when it comes to limitations for something new, ESPECIALLY if it's a restart of a failed project. They do not have infinite time nor infinite money. They are a business and must work under professional limitations. No one truly understands things until they deal with it themselves.I like how people defend lack of content by being new. If this is an issue with every game that comes out and results in lots of people leaving why hasn't someone tried to make a game that doesn't follow the same fate. It's not that they can't do it but it will cost more money and time and companies don't want to make that gamble.
Lots of people are not leaving FFXIV, in fact many more will come. Some will leave, but that's expected to happen after free gametime expires.
