Please let us have five retainers!

My guess is because they wanted to limit us to have two retainers right now since they want to ensure it doesn't hurt the market board while more newcomers to buy the game and play with us. When we have more new items in every patch they will consider when we get another retainer. EVE has been around for many years with so many items so it wouldn't hurt to sell. The market board doesn't have rules like EVE has ones or it needs rules if we want more retainers.

Now, the OP is asking for more slots and not retainers.

My guess is that it's resource related, whether hardware or software. The number of retainers with the way the market board works now isn't going to matter, those who want more sell slots will just use alts. The sticking point for me is the inventory space.
