    Yoshi P - Repair "Fix" NOT a Real Fix at All - You've INCREASED WEAR! :(

    To: Yoshida-san & Dev Team,

    While ostensibly this new patch reduced Repair Costs (which is great), you've secretly ninja patched INCREASED WEAR on our equipment in Dungeons!

    Why?

    This makes you come across as insincere and dishonest: Reducing the NPC Prices to Repair, but Increasing Wear & Tear Rate is netting the same expensive "gil sink" result as before.

    I did 1 run of Castrum Meridiunum (no deaths) with 100% Repaired gear. At the end of the run, I lost 20 - 25% Gear Durability!

    I checked with my FC mates, and they all confirmed their gear is wearing out far faster than before the patch. We tested it out again, with runs in Ampador Keep and it's the same thing. Gear wears out faster.

    Please keep the lower Repair Costs *and* revert to the SLOWER Gear Damage / Wear Rate. Thanks!

    Or make running these dungeons slightly offset the cost of repairs. We should be rewarded for running dungeons, not punished. I've got all the loot I need from AK, all I need is 8 runs a week for myth...But I'm punished for being dedicated to the game. Do they want me to subscribe? Doesn't feel like it.

    HEY SE, THE GAME SHOULD BE REWARDING TO PLAY, NOT PUNISHING

    I don't see what the problem is. You guys act like you don't have any gil whatsoever... You should have at least 300k just from leveling unless you fate grinded from 1-50 which would have been a bad idea. You also act like you don't get anything from runs either. Which is totally untrue. Go do something other than grind fates or dungeons mindlessly and you will see gil is NOT an issue.

    Just have the gw2 system of it gets badly worn when you die, like 20% or something. Also gives people an incentive to not being morons in dungeons and coordinate to avoid stupid deaths.

    Your gear is only wearing out faster because you can no longer exploit the dungeon by speed running. No one says you have to wear amazing gear for trash mobs. How about you spirit bond gear and swap for boss fights. Not a difficult concept to comprehend at all.

    The gear degrade rate hasn't changed.

    You're just fighting more than 3 bosses now. You're fighting a good maybe 60 or 70+ mobs to get to the bosses.

    I wonder how many people would now take exp loss for dying rather than durability loss even when you don't die. Exp is far easier to come by than gil anyway.

    I'd take it, but that's just because I'm used to it from FFXI, and it has nothing to do with the in-game gil situation. /cough

    It would also make raises and grinding mobs in dungeons more worthwhile again, though I'm sure they can find ways to make things work out that don't involve bringing back the generally-disliked exp death penalty.

    Aaros, yes it's happening. And I did plenty of proper runs in Castrum and Palace and Keep before the patch. The Durability has been increased.

    My complaint is that on the surface, it looks like Yoshi P and the team are "doing a good thing" reducing NPC Repair Costs (which were too high); and that's great. But then, they secretly ninja patch in Higher Gear Damage / Wear, which basically is being dishonest to the community.
