The Volcano.

Some of the prophets words speak of fire raining down from the sky. It could be from a volcano or meteorite, however...at the beginning of the game everyone sees that strange opening in the sky with the fire like stuff falling from it. If I recall correctly, it is what has given us the gift of the 'echo.' What if this is what they are referring to....whatever that stuff is. Maybe they'll go into more detail about it?

Me? Im on the Besaid Server mainly because I love FFX, I was thinking Selbina as well because I am a Veteran of FFXI of 7 years and I love that game =).

Oo Besaid, Selbina, Wutai and maybe Lindblum will be the servers to not get merged someday eventually in 3-5 years lol or not if the game is doing great. Besaid has rpers right? Sometimes I think its easier to rp in XI or XIV then any other game, due to how your character looks and how you feel with your character. Selbina is okay, but we're suffering from huge linkshells thinking they are over important in a game where 8 man parties and at max 20 man linkshells will be sufficient.

Besaid is the Unofficial RP Server yes, and Besaid is alright population wise, and everyone does work together in this Server "Surprisingly" lo. and I have alot of fun on this Server ( I just hit 42 Lancer Moments ago ) =) and to me it doesnt matter what server your on.. people will still Roleplay if they want to RP, not because a Server says thats what you can do :P.

Linkshells is an issue all on its on, but the LS's I am in Manage until the Game becomes Better to the majority audience eyes which I can understand, and its giving SE a reason to step up there game, they arent going to blow millions upon millions of dollars to try to fix this game and not succeed. That could very well be, but I can only see one problem with that.. Limsa is No where near Gridania... or is it.. I cant tell its way off in the distance to make that assumption.


Im just trying to make friends along FFXIV's Journey to a better Future and hopefully have long lasting fun with each and everyone one of my friends =)

I think the only reason the lore article is called Storm Over Gridania is because the writer lives in Gridania, so that's what he's writing about. The changes he's talking about, though (darkness, deaspected crystals, etc) are being experienced globally in game, not just Gridania. These are worldwide changes, not only Gridania.
