Crystal Gathering too Slow

I am a culinarian, if you check my profile. I went from 14 to 23 on HQ turn in leves in about 30 minutes (not including gathering/crafting time) and a few more levels in between 23 to 26 and then from 26 to 28 (and a half) on 13 HQ turn ins yesterday. Crafting time for my HQ time was around 30 minutes and each of the 13 HQ turn ins were 18k xp and 600 gil each.

where do all the shards go and how are they replaced when your lvl 50? No one would be stupid enough to waste leves just for the sake of shards when they are lvl 50 for that craft
Poitions and food need to be replaced and that means Shards and gathering them

What gil shortage? I made 20k Gil yesterday. (not including my 13 tun ins for average of 600 gil per turn in since I spent all I made on upgrading my crafting gear)

I do not have a level 50 character so I can't say for sure what will happen then but I imagine I will make my money the same way I am now. Gathering, selling a few things on the market here and there, dungeons, fates, guildhests, levequests, dumping stuff that doesn't sell on the market to the venders, etc.

cif you havnt allready noticed Lvl 50 Class specific Crafting gear doesnt get rewarded at 90% of the quests in the game

the prices people are charging for Class specific crafting gear is more than you make a day

For the record, these don't really leave you breaking even (currently), possibly with the exception of guildhests. If you have a pretty solid set of 40-45ish whites/greens, I could actually see guildhests being productive, however the (current) cost of repairing your AF set and beyond gear is pretty out of proportion. Guess we'll see how much they dropped repairs after maintainence
