Why are PC players being so stuck up to ps3 players?

This seems to be a touchy subject for people. Let people run their FC's / Groups the way they want to. If they don't want to play with PS3 users, that's their right. I also will not party or invite knowingly a PS3 user to my FC simply because they are not playing the game to the optimal limit. In HM Titan / Bahamut's Coil we need people to have a good frame rate, good coordination and excellent execution of their abilities which I feel is hindered by controller / PS3 play. Racism only exists because people keep talking about it. Shut up and play.

This is the best thread to watch while servers are down. The people that actually believe consoles are equivalent to PCs are the best.

I know people at my work who honestly believe thier consoles are stronger than the most powerful PC's available.

Also that they can buy a gaming laptop and it'll be stronger than a desktop.

I have to hide my power level there so hard it hurts.

That's server culling, has nothing to do with your computer. It's a serverside problem as I was explaining above.

Guild Wars 2 did the same thing.

Is the server only sending me information about models 'close' to me? This is extremely problematic. In some other games, all model information was still 'sent' to you, but your game would decide how many models it could handle on the screen at once (thus allowing you to prioritize certain types like I said earlier). Granted, there are a LOT of people in one area at once. I'm not sure how sending me information about every single one would do... I predict a lot more Coerthas zone crashes.

Yea but on a console i can play on a couch, be comfortable and use a controller, you cant do stuff like that on the more versatile and powerful PC...

Seems like you're the one being a douche here, I'm not calling anyone out or talking down to anyone here. I'm stating the obvious limitations to the console Vs PC and why people would exclude them.

Did I once say that I would be one of those people? No, we have a console healer in our HM Titan fights every night and he does just fine, but even he complains about the lag during most other high profile fights with a lot of people.

The fact that you decided to jump on my ass for stating a fact proves that YOU'RE the one with a problem here, not me sir/madam.

Besides, you're the one trying awfully hard to split hairs and overlook the obvious truths. And game crashes happen to both platforms regardless, driver problems just make certain ones appear more often but they'll eventually be fixed or people can rollback to an earlier one, can you do that with the PS3 or upgrade it's hardware? Not without buying a PS4.

yea im not toally sure, but i think its only sending you the closet say like 100 things, prettymuch all games do this. or they will atleast send you the data but your client will only then render so many.

it definatly does need to be customisable what you see though, not being able to see fate bosses but 3 millions pets is dumb.

Currently as others have pointed out the way they have it coded is giving priority to the wrong things, which is why you'll see people you aren't grouped with while your whole team is offscreen entirely along with the boss. Most times even when you're in the boss' face you still wont see it or even the AoE markers on the ground.

But yeah, unlike GW2 SE hasn't quite made it work right.

If they were to give us an option as to whom we would rather see during these fights it would make things go a lot smoother, no sense being able to see anyone other than your actual team and the boss.
