I'm just glad that FFXIV doesn't have a World or General Chat like other MMORPG. It's bad in a way, but now I'm liking it because when I play other MMORPG, I get so sick of hearing Wow talk over and over again and how each game should be like their. So far so good in FFXIV, don't have to hear it anymore. Now we are only getting this talk on the forums sometime only.

So, this one time, in ICC, we wiped to LK like 10 times in a row, because people where too derp to understand where to stand.....anyways, I played FFXI, from NA launch, until 2009, I also played WOW, and I can honestly say, I have encountered ALOT more winey people in my own beloved FFXI/FFXIV games that have never played WOW. And no WOW was never my main game, it was more of a rebound game, you know, like when your boyfriend breaks up with you, and you sleep with his enemy to piss him off....I'm not saying, I'm just saying. Also that Icc incident I mentioned fro earlier, most of those players where fresh from XI...

I had one of them in Brayflox earlier, we kept failing and he kept telling us all how terrible we all were and how easy this game is. He left, got replaced, and we completed it no problem.

You do realize that's not a Warcraft thing, right? That's a human thing. With as many people are playing this game, do you -really- think that you wouldn't run into a great deal of bratty or raging people?

Seen these a few times now...

Example 1:
Watched a friend play ifrit hard mode earlier... somebody missed one eruption stun.
"Sh*t tank, learn how to play noob. Uninstall game." *rage quit*
best part about it is the party didn't even wipe.

Example 2:
Random run of 50 story content
(Tank) "This is my first time on this boss."
DPS runs in before the tank can get proper agro
(DPS) "Wtf noob, sh*t tank. I hope you f*cking die."

I mean... it's getting a bit too frequent for me to see players getting bullied at end game for small mistakes. And the way that these people address the problems is completely unacceptable. Joining a free company to raid with friends or not aside, the abuse I have seen in duty finder is something I would expect from COD or a prison yard not a ff mmo.

Okay everyone, let's jump down my throat cool...I don't care. Was stereotyping? Maybe a little.

So let me be clear, as the title was just bait for discussion.

MOST wow players come to this game thinking they can play it as such, which isn't the case. Not say ALL of them are bad have you, Alas the whiners i WOULD love to seen gone. Thread after thread about servers or maintenance. Someone here said if the wow players left the game would die, which isn't the case. MMO's have become one of, if not the largest gaming genre out. It was just us nerds in UO but the mainstream caught wind in the Wowish era.

It irks me when people want instant gratification, this is final fantasy...They're plenty of mmo's (old & new) just like wow. Stop trying to change this one!

P.S bring back 1.0 poly's and animations

Then your complaints are more directed to the kind of players who play LoL, not WoW. It keeps being a pretty much generalized stereotype, but at least more accurate towards what you personally label as one of the game's issues with its people.

The dungeon runs I've done from 15-50, most of the players I would have considered familiar with dungeon mechanics were most like from WoW or a similar MMO. I think the whining is more from certain personality types than another MMOs players in general.
