    You can reduce any class to spamming skills, but it's disingenuous at best. Were it as simple as spamming skills, there wouldn't be such a wide range of ability levels in tanks. You don't constantly have to tell DPS to do anything. If they take aggro, who cares? DPS can take a couple hits and be fine. It's not like there's a lot of healing necessary. Plus you can learn to be better and discover new methods and strategies to building threat. Bad DPS early makes you a better tank later.

    Also, your DPS is irrelevant. It's not your role.

    How is it clunky? Weave buffs in between attacks and let it flow better. The GCD gives you plenty of time to cycle through mobs to check their threat levels. It's actually quite nice.
